HG PAILDRAMON

Man, I do love a Digimon model kit, and this one was pretty fun to make ... kind makes me want to watch the anime again ... dub or sub, I don't know.
Not much to say about it, it was fun to build. Very happy to have him in my collection ... and I'll add Imperialdramon very soon ... ish.

MG XXXG-01D2 Gundam Deathscythe Hell

I'm a bit late with this one. I've finished this one a few weeks ago, so ... better late than never.
One of my hobby goals is to own a Master Grade of every Gundam of Gundam Wing, maybe even both versions of them. The Deathscythe has always been one of my favorites when I was watching the anime as a kid - no idea why, probably the scythe and Duo being a great guy. The Heavyarms is my absolute favorite, though, because of it being 85% guns. Still on the hunt for that MG, but I think I've found it - can't buy it yet, though.
Since it's been a few weeks ... I've forgotten a bit about the building process and what happened, but I remember that the wings were giving me a lot of grief.
Too bad I couldn't pose him with the scythe, but the wings kept him toppling him over.
Anyway, I had fun making this one.

NRX-055 BAUND DOC [Titans Prototype Transformable Mobile Armor]

Not much to say, this was a very enjoyable kit to make. I do enjoy a good non-humanoid kit from time to time, but man, does this guy have a big badonkadonk.
Didn't try out the space-ship mode, I do enjoy robot-mode too much.
[Well, tomorrow I'm going to a convention and I'm looking to buy some new kits, so let's see with what I'll be able to come home with.]

I completed an entire kit from start to finish yesterday.
Am I really going to make another one today?
...
Yes. Yes, I am.

HG RX-78AL ATLAS GUNDAM (GUNDAM THUNDERBOLT Ver.)

Once again, for some reason, this was a start-to-finish, no-break build. ...scratch that, I know the reason. I'm going to a convention this weekend, and I'm anticipating a haul of new kits. So I'm trying to make as many kits as I can this week, to clear out the backlog.
Anyway, to the 'review'.
I'll admit, the whole ski-thingies were the main reason I bought this guy. Also, the color scheme just spoke to me. (Big white Power Ranger vibes)
This was a pretty fun build, no problems at all - which was surprising because I really thought that those ski-thingies were gonna F### with me.
Anyway, have some pictures of Atlas getting the hang of his skis and almost doing a split.

Guess the kit - HARD MODE

Hey if you're in the US you can check out Hobby Town, they're pretty good with their gunpla selection
I'm European. The sites where I can order them online, and get them delivered within a reasonable amount of time are ... limited, but I'm not complaining.
But you have to be careful. I know one webshop where you have an incredible amount of choice - no MG Heavyarms though - but the prices from some of the kits are ridiculous. They sold a kit for €38, but on another site it was - get this - around €9! So I rather stick with the few trusted ones I know.
Honestly, I would order from the US or even Japan, if the shipping cost wouldn't hurt my wallet so much.
Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I'm sad
I JUST got a mail from the site where I ordered the MG Heavyarms. They can't deliver the item anytime soon and suggested I'd cancel the order all together, so I can get my money back.
So, I'm gonna do just that.
I'm ...just sad.
The quest for owning a MG Heavyarms continues.
I'm going to a convention this weekend, where I usually buy some kits. Maybe ...maybe I'm lucky.

FINALLY! AFTER MONTHS AND MONTHS!
I finally managed to buy the MG Heavyarms! Got the notification, and immediately ordered it.
For a great price too, for an MG.
I had to cancel the order. They didn't have the item anymore.

DYGENGUAR

Three hours! I spend three hours, non-stop, start-to-finish, no breaks, working on this glorious piece of mecha goodness.
I've been playing Assassin's Creed Shadows for a good long while, and around 4pm I decided to stop for the day and do something else. I wasn't feeling like writing, so I decided to get started on the DyGenGuar and see how much I'd do.
No idea I was going to finish him in one go. For the size of the box that it came with, it's a deceptively straightforward and relaxing build to make. Zero problems, delightful relaxation all the way.
This guy just scratches all the right itches somehow. The coloration, the unique design, the way the sword is locked in its hands.

I love the pose. I wanted to do that with the big sword, but .... yeah too big for it.
Nothing to complain about. This was an extremely delightful experience. I! LOVE! THIS! GUY!
10/10, would build again.

SHIN BURNING GUNDAM

Only took a few hours to completely assemble him. I love the whole energy-cape thing that he has going on. And the sword is worth a few bonus points. I always enjoy non-beam saber weaponry.
However ... I got stabbed hard in the palm of my hand when I was putting the legs on, and the wound was bleeding a bit, so I'm deducting point for that.

GESPENT
Just finished this guy. I have no idea who he is, what his shtick is, or if he's a good or bad guy ... I just love his look. I'm a big fan of arm-canons, perhaps because of my love for Transformers.
Anyway, solid build, lots of fun. The included Action Base is a big plus. Happy to put this guy with the others.

Guess the kit!
A rare occasion of bulding a non-Gundam kit All I'll say for now: I am thoroughly enjoying the build and the overall look.

HG GUNDAM BARBATOS 6TH FORM

Not much to say about this fella. I always enjoy assembling a simple High Grade, as a bit of a palate cleanser between Real Greade, Master grades or even the more complicated High Grades.
I swapped out the shoulder he had in the other post with the ones here, because I liked the look of these so much more. Same with the feet and those side flaps I don't know the official name off.
Assembly: relaxing and simple.
Overall look: great looking gundam!
Posing ability without weapon: 10/10
Posing ability with weapon: practically impossible, no idea how I managed to keep him from falling over long enough to take pictures.. I totally expect to wake up one morning and see him fallen over in the display case that is currently his home ... out of 10.

RG GUNDAM ASTRAY GOLD FRAME AMATSU MINA

I finally managed to finish this one. this one has been waiting on my desk for WEEKS, just because ... things got in the way. I posted the first pic of this build EARLY JANUARI! And between then and now, I've haven't been able to work on it as much as I liked.
Which will be the reason why - once again - the streak of things going wrong when I'm making Real Grade builds is ONGOING. I still haven't done an RG that just went completely smooth! This one, however, didn't give me much problems during building, so ... there's that!
Anyway, onto the review. I really should do more of these.

I'm a big lover of black-and-any-other-color combination, but black and gold are just OOMPH, so nice! The overall look is so amazing to just look at ... so pointy and spikey!

The 'wings' - or whatever they're called - look very cool but, as most backpacks that feature wings, they really mess with the balance. I do recommend that other Builders who have interest in making this kit definitely invest in using the ACTION BASE 2 with it.
Speaking of which:

I was preparing to build the action base, and I needed to attach the piece that would help attach the kit to the base. And once I set it down ... it just stood like this. It was so funny to look at. Quite sturdy too, although I wasn't gonna risk move it before I managed to take a picture of it.
Overall, I give this kit a solid 8.5/10.
