A Clash of Kings - Traitor
That was more than Theon could stomach. “You are the priest, Uncle, I leave the god to you. Do me the same kindness and leave the battles to me.” He waved his hand, and Werlag and Stygg began to drag their captive off toward the shore. Aeron Damphair gave his nephew a reproachful look, then followed. Down to the pebbled beach they would go, to drown Benfred Tallhart in salt water. The old way.
A Clash of Kings Chapter 37 - Theon
Theon refuses to watch an old acquaintance, who just called him a traitor, drown. At this point, it’s hard to tell what Theon’s attitude is right now. He might be conflicted over his loyalties, or still chaffing having a job he thinks is beneath him.

'Kill the Boy' that plays when Jon executes Janos Slynt borrowing from 'Pay the Iron Price' and the Night Watch's theme while 'Pay the Iron Price' plays exactly as it is as Robb beheads Karstark. :')))))) im fine gif
So insane about Theon-adjacent soundtracks in GOT. How they all play off of 'What is Dead May Never Die' in different ways. How 'Pay the Iron Price' is chaotic and unhinged sounding to illustrate his downward spiral. 'I Paid the Iron Price' in contrast has none of the extra elements of the previous two and is broken down to the melody's basic chords because maybe everything prior wasn't the real Theon and instead was only a facade and this is who he truly is. 'Reek' is the most dissonant and frantic sounding, and threaded in with the weird unsettling notes of Ramsay's motif. 'Ironborn' is the only time we hear his theme in major key. I'm fine I promise.

Another amazing piece I won in the 2023 round of @fandomtrumpshate. This one is by the incredible arts_and_seabass (IG).
This one has a bit of a context! It's an illustration of two scenes, one from my fic, Carry Me Home, and the other from i know my kingdom awaits by @hell-heron (go, go read it, it's amazing!). The scenes parallel each other somewhat intentionally, as IKMKA is an AU of CMH. Back-to-back shots of two different instances of Theon saving his younger, redhead "foster brother" who looks up to him, Robb Stark in the first and Greydon Goodbrother in the second.
