I've been skipping or dodging date everything's sex scenes this time around, and I gotta say: I didn't realize how much I was pressuring myself to engage with those scenes before. because the amount of relief is a lot actually.

like with my self shipping overall, save events in whatever canon I make, I don't really envision my insert actively pursuing the f/o in question. not because of insecurity necessarily but more idk, the thought life of well that would be lovely but not a priority a lot of the time. idk, feels bad to say it but realistically I'd probably need to be won over a lot instead of the reverse.

btw I've been slowly figuring out what the character dynamics would be with my date everything insert, and it's fun honestly. but it does make me realize that the characters would get to have the befriending a stray cat experience. that's not even getting into the ones that would want my insert romantically. face the gauntlet and answer my riddles three and excreta.

it's kind of funny that da.nte's unofficial title from me is "favorite brother in-law". I mean, he is, but the guy doesn't have a lot of competition. but like in my canon, the bigger part of his and my si's dynamic is that they've known each other for a decade, and have grown to trust and love each other (tho the two might not properly say it). but yet, I can see him jokingly calling himself their favorite future brother in law, specifically when v|ergil and my si have only been officially together for like six months (tho had a dalliance when he was v plus slow burn afterwards). thus it's somehow always stuck for me.

also I've been playing bayo.netta (the first one) again, both because my d.mc si's fighting style is based off the witches and sages, and I thought I needed a refresher, and because I've missed the titular protag. but yeah I'm so glad to be playing this on ps4 controls because it is such a better experience than when I played via keyboard.
