okay listen up people I am TIRED of seeing people redesign flutter shy as an earth pony and pinkie as a pegasus when their reasoning for doing so is “oh they don’t make sense as a pegasus/earth pony” like that isn’t the entire point? They are subverting the expectations of their species. Fluttershy doesn’t fly as much as Pegasi normally does. Pinkie pie isn’t grounded like other earth ponies are. Isn’t that the entire point of their characters? It’s what makes them more interesting: a Pegasus finding interest in the earth and land animals and an earth pony finding interest in all things chaos and moving, never knowing how to slow down. If you make the choice of swapping what kind of pony they are it’s your choice and I respect that but I do wish people would recognize this more often than not.

Wanted to try one of those mlp bingo cards i see all over instagram, made one to try it out!

i do like doing these and mixing the color pallets together, to get colors i wouldn't normally use

Main six redesign!

To start, with the differences between each pony type, unicorns have more goatlike hooves, pegasai are slightly slimmer and have more feathered coats, Earth ponies have more patterns that are closer to actual horses and stronger hooves. Some pegasai are bat ponies.

Twilight: i thought the purple and gold mixture would blend very well, her horn is also slightly curved to show her affinity to magic, she wears glasses to help her read.

Rarity: Went a more crystal pony style of main, some grey patterns to match her geode cutie mark, rarity definitely paints everyone's hooves

Fluttershy: I made her a bat pony because i liked the dichotomy that she can be strong enough to show kindness despite not being shown much herself.

Pinkamina pie: i wanted to make her look a bit more like her family. The pink and colors are work of dye, which she often lets grow out, and gets sprinkles stuck it it while baking often.

Applejack: i thought the idea of her looking more akin to a work horse matched her personality a bit better. Zap apples to represent the rainbow she followed home to the apple orchard.

Rainbowdash: Small, nimble, flight wings for speed. I added white parts to the hair as a small homage to the rainbow coming from the cloud on her cutie mark, she is the smallest but also the sharpest in her body shapes. Goggles for flying, a few bandages and a brace for past injuries while practicing tricks.
