Last night I decided to draw Vert from memory and I’m honestly really happy with how it turned out!

The way they designed Krytus' personality gives me the ick sometimes. They probably made him nerfed too much because it's a kids' show and they wanted it to be as child-friendly as possible. But If I were to rewrite him and make the show not for kids lol, Krytus would've been the most ruthless and the most cynical villain in the Hot Wheels franchise. And in the actual show, he is kinda dumb in some episodes which makes me go "Really? 🙄". At least make him smart and knowledgeable instead of being "All I know is anger and chaos! Brrrr....!" Not only that, he would've been smart asf in tactics and strategies. Mans has been in the warzone for millions of years, I'm sure he's able to predict and come up with stuff and knows things even Sage doesn't even know. The writers made his entire personality based on one emotion, and that if ofc Anger and he casually breeds out other horrible traits that just make him a big mess. At least give him a reason as to why he is the way he is... Like, why is Krytus so obsessed with ruling over the multiverse and destroying the balance? Why does he hate the blue sentient civilization? What made him all mad towards Sage from the beginning? Was he born this way? Was there a point in time when Krytus loved his sister and viewed her as an equal? Was Sage the reason why he started to hate her race? Was she partly responsible for the war? A million questions come into our minds and the show has no answer for those questions. (Unless they have and I haven't been paying attention or is mentioned in the movie. I couldn't find any and if you did, lemme know). The show made Sage the smart twin and Krytus the stupid twin lol. Krytus reimagined would be an evil charmer too. He isn't a loud person, like in the show, and he is this calm man where from his calmness you can tell he is seething from the inside. Knows how to smooth talk and get what he wants whenever he wants. He isn't someone who stupidly jumps into stuff and gets too prideful of himself to notice that he ain't strong or smart enough to handle certain situations. He is a very methodical villain. Knows things a little more than most, which makes him a worthy foe. He is as smart as his sister Sage and he is physically stronger than her meanwhile Sage is mentally stronger than him. (as mentioned in the show), which balances out their dynamics. And with this personality, I don't think he stupidly gives out a deal to Grimian because I headcanon him DESPISING the Vandals because they are not as efficient as he is. If anyone, he would've made a deal with Zemerick but he can't since Zemerick was his slave once and Zemerick wouldn't cooperate. Also, Krytus should've been much taller. At least 7 feet because why not? Makes him extra scary lol.

When I was a kid watching this show, I deadass thought they were all like early to mid-twenties, so when I found out they were all teenagers (Stanford is the oldest and he's 19 wtf) I swear I lost my marbles. They do not resemble their ages at all but after the initial whiplash you get kinda get over it a little bit. But not entirely 😭

As a fic writer I occasionally find myself looking through the FandomWiki as it tends to accurate information.

Like a solid 8.5/10 on the accuracy scale.

And I was reading through the Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 wiki for Vert Wheeler.

And they refer to him, and the rest of the team, and teenagers, in like the 16-18 area

And-

Vert literally mentioned doing Motercross when he was younger, and I looked it up and you can start as early as 4 years old.

Mind blown, BTW

So okay, plausible.

But then from what it looks like Vert owns Spetra Moters, his mom isn't around nor any other relatives are mentioned as far as I can remember. So I'm thinking Vert is like 18,

And again mind fucking blown

Because in my mind, I always thought the team was in their early twenty's with the exception of Zoom, who most people assume is 18-(very early, like just turned)20 as he is confirmed to be the youngest of the BF5. I've read fics where that's the case.

And that makes the most sense cannon wise to me, that there all young adults not teens but fuck all I guess cannon in subjective, I literally have a MaxSteel fic were Max was kidnapped as a kid and had a normal childhood until him and his adoptive mom(my oc) move to Copper Canyon because of a job transfer.

also the whole Crimson One thing is totally a reversed star crossed lovers, a star crossed haters if you will. And I just need more BF5 content in my life.

Two episodes in a row were Zoom gets absolutely wrecked.

One were he's crucified and another were he's poisoned and almost dies.

In both instances, the team, especially Vert, goes absolutely feral and try to save him.

And this isn't covering that one episode were Zoom hurt his arm while in a Zone and couldn't ride, leaving Vert to help him out.

Am I saying a ship Vroom??? Maybe, probably I think there both cute dorks.

But also, I'm a sucker for 'team as family' tropes and BF5 has massive 'team as family' vibes.
