god I really do love how akin this game is to irl historical context and writings despite being a fantasy game. the fact that all text is from account, thus has its own biases interjected with fact makes the worldbuilding feel so layered and real. and while OBVIOUSLY I have critiques on how often this lands (and doesn't!) especially in regards to in-game racism reflecting it irl I have to give them credit for how they don't hold back
#like of course it hurts and of course ive raised my eyebrows a couple times but you cant just sugarcoat these topics if youre including them#especially not smooth the edges out if THIS is the worldbuilding youve created#and this is on top of the queer rep#like. idk im glad queer people can exist in fantasy like this also. im glad queer people still exist along with badass field battles or w/e#without ignoring the historical context that made us Queer and not just gay#fiction isny be the end all be all for advocacy against the marginalized but its GOOD if it opens eyes. its radical in a conservative world!

#in (unexpectededly) building their relationship im realizing that wuwu would love sera just cos it brings out his inner child again#and he was a BAAAD mischevious little kid#but he had to quickly grow up and prove himself post-accident so now hes kinda letting himself loose again and being jokey ;_;#not to say that he doesnt think she's a bit immature and has growing up to do though#they have that jokey coworker bond where they mess with each other but theyre like this 🤞🏼 its always some 20 yr old and the oldhead#kind of insane that i have such high approval with her and solas while also being a champion. wuwu for the people
