“If this is what it feels like to be in prison, remind me of this moment next time I want to do something illegal,” Nev wasn’t a troublemaker, but he did do a few things that weren’t technically considered legal, even if that was controversial. “Thank god I’m almost out of here,” he chuckled as he looked longingly out of the window before him.

“Thanks, I broke out the one suit that I have.” He smirked before fixing his tie before reaching into his pocket and pulled out a white corsage. “I wasn’t sure what color you were going to wear so I went with white since it goes with everything.”

“For a night out with me? I must be special.” Dharma nudged his shoulder, leading them over to a table were she could eat, “Oh god. You did not have to get me a corsage.” She looked down admiring the flower, “Thank you, it goes perfectly.”

“I fell asleep, there was nothing I could do about it, I was clearly way too tired I would have been useless if I hadn’t taken that nap anyway. So don’t even bother with the social media blocking.” She finally slowed down long enough to look at the boy, “you look amazing though.”

“I’m pretty sure I totally fucked up my makeup too.” She brushed some hair out of her face taking the plate he made her, “but I’m here and I’m more energized than ever.”

“I for about two seconds thought you stood me up.” He teased, “I was totally ready to block you on every form of social media just because I was here surrounded by people.”

“I wouldn’t dare leave you at a social event by yourself.” She let out a small laugh, “oh you were going to resort to public shunning? Ouch.”

“I’m pretty sure I totally fucked up my makeup too.” She brushed some hair out of her face taking the plate he made her, “but I’m here and I’m more energized than ever.”

“Of course not.” he said as he took her hand and led her to the catering table. “But I’m glad you’re here.”

“Aaah you’re such a good time.” Dharma smirked at the boy, “If I tell you why I was late you can’t kill me.”

“It’s fine.” He said over the music, curious as to where she was and what held her up. “Do you want something to eat?”

“Yes.. I’m starving.” She said leaning closer so she wouldn’t have to raise her voice so much, “Are you having fun?”

“I was late... I know, asshole move. But it was for a good reason.” Dharma spoke over all the people dancing to the loud music, a drink in her hand having found that before the person in front of her, “But I’m here now and that’s all that matter. Plus you can’t even really hear me so it’s like I’m still not here.”

“Finally,” Mackenzie teased, turning around when she heard the older boy approach her. “I think that Declan went to the bathroom, but I’m sure he won’t mind if we start without him,” okay, so she wasn’t so sure about that, but it wasn’t like they were gonna get completely hammered without him. “As long as we save him some. “Where’s Laney?”

“He’ll find us.” He said confidently, grabbing the girl by the arm so she’d follow him, “Let’s go somewhere and ditch the bottle, I brought us a couple of flasks to put it in.” Nothing screamed I’m drinking when I’m not supposed to be like trying to hide an entire bottle, so pouring it into the flask was a must. When they made it over to the hallway he did just that, “Bathroom? Snacks? She wandered off by the time I came back with the bottle.”

“I punched a wall and have ice on it, it’s numb.” he pointed out looking at her with a duh look.

Dharma rolled her eyes, a smile on her face as she let out a small laugh, “Oh yeah? Well look at me like that again and I’m going to smack the shit out of you. Then you can ice your face and feel the pain in your hand again.” She said, all while the smile was still on her face.
