is there any end to suffering, or only to pain? I feel on the cusp of change, a delicate tightrope, each step leading me to a place unknown. Weirdly enough I feel ready for my 20s despite my lingering on the past. I think ill always linger on the past. You’ll find that you miss the most unexpected things. I wonder what ill miss from now. College? Friends? Insomnia? My parents? I can take a guess.

I didn’t really feel like I was in my 20s until I was 21. 20 is such a weird year, id also group age 18 with that. big years for sometimes small moments. but they’ll pass you faster than you realize and suddenly it’s been 3 years since I was 18. it both feels like that and it doesn’t.

I think im actually really grateful to have another year.

for once, it’s not another year to get through, but another year to live and explore. there’s still some time for it all. im finally letting myself do the things that I love. I held myself on a tightrope for so long, to enjoy this stupid major, to like what will get me what I need. But I never did and that little storyteller in me never died. I’m taking art and im taking writing and im finally stepping away from what I know is dragging. I can let myself whisper in the dark that maybe I’d love to be a writer. Maybe I’d love to actually focus and improve upon my art, a long standing, life craft of mine. I think I could have so easily not gotten into this wonderful hobby but I did. I’m so thankful for that. I’m thankful to her. I’m thankful to my curiosity.

But not to say that it’s all well and peaches and dandy. I’m getting older. Fear I say but these eyebags are getting etched in. I’m not sure where im going. I never had many big future plans. It’s both a blessing and a curse, I rarely worry about the future because I just don’t think about it. I’m too busy looking behind me. Maybe that’s why I love history and that’s why I love looking at old pictures. im heading to a new time in my life and im not sure what it is. I hope I find somebody to love.
