Might as well do a post that explains about me, so here's the rundown of my current setup:
Deck: 8.75 Enjoi deck (yes the board is huge I know, also the graphic is nfsw-ish.) The board is among one of my favourite sizes. I can easily heelflip this and kickflips as well. Nice solid pop and the board just all around feels sturdy.
Grip: Blind griptape with the space chick on there because I thought it looked too rad not to use. Actually really grippy and cheap at my boardshop.
Trucks: some four-year-old Thunder hollow trucks which I desperately need to change out, trucks are expensive though.
Hardware: a mix of Independent 1" screws and Diamond nuts, seem to hold the best.
Wheels: 99 duro(hardness), 53mm(size) Spitfire Formula Four Radial Slims. They hold up (for me at least) the best against flatspotting and offer the best speed.
Bearings: Bronson Speed Co. Bearings. Broke the land speed record on a skateboard and are overly durable, and fast.
I bought all of this out of my local shop in Richland, WA called Asphalt Assault. But if you have a LOCAL boardshop. Support it and buy your setup from there, not Zumiez or Vans. Have fun, and keep shredding!

It's been so long since gx1000 released something and I'd like for the world to see the things that I see. I love this crew because of the passion.

Personal favourite skate films.
Not in any specific order.
#1. Gx1000 Medellin, Seattle, New York, and Toronto.
(separate videos but from the same series)
The reason I love gx1000 so much is that the vibe of the skating. It seems so real and honest. You can really feel the passion behind it.
#2. Girl Skateboards "Yeah Right" (2003)
This film was very influential in the progression of modern skateboarding. With the technicality of Eric Koston and P-Rod, To the aggression of Rick McCrank. This video is a must watch. (Personally I watch this and gx1000 before I skate for motivation).
#3. Supreme "cherry" (2014)
Yes, I mean "that" Supreme. Founded in 1994 as a skateshop, this team is among one of the best around and this video goes to show it. My favourite thing about this is that Supreme knows it's roots. Heavy skating from Mark Gonzalez, Na-kel Smith and many others.
#4. The Deathwish video (2013)
Okay, okay. This is easily my most favourite video of all time. It's just everything that you could possibly want and more. The passion, technicality, the straight gnar. Every part in this video is my favourite (although lizard king is the best). You can watch this day after day and you would never be bored of it.
#5. Any video from Romain Baataard
(I couldn't find a gif)
He's like gx1000 but more fun and is really something I can watch if I want to just goof around and have fun.
#6. Adidas "Away Days" (2015)
A look on the more technical side of things coming from the footwear Mecca. With a real heavyweight cast of skateboarders. from Dennis Busenitz, Silas Baxter-Neal, Mark Gonzalez and Na-kel smith (as seen in #5). Definitely a must watch for all you tech lovers and just anyone alike. There's also a guest appearance from Snoop Dogg.
So that ends my list. Hope you enjoy these videos as much as I have.
