I love how these are from an Unreality subreddit but to my eye they just read like regular Tumblr shitposts. Did we cross-pollinate or something

theo van gogh was the one who suggested that his older brother vincent start seriously painting. as soon as theo was gainfully employed he gave vincent around 15% of his own yearly salary for art supplies, lodging, and food. about 2/3rds of vincent's surviving letters were to theo (including vincent's earliest and last letters), all of which were found stored in theo's desk. theo's child, vincent willem, was born on january 31st, 1890, and vincent was so delighted by his nephew that he painted almond blossoms for him. vincent shot himself half a year later on july 29th, 1890. theo's distress at his brother's death worsened his syphilis symptoms and he died half a year after his brother on january 25th, 1891 (four days before vincent willem's first birthday). theo was reburied next to vincent in auvers-sur-oise at the request of theo's wife johanna.

ok wait. i don't get it/gen. do you believe trans men and trans women are equally oppressed or not?
hmm. i think this question is phrased in a confused manner.
i dont think theres such a thing as two groups being "equally oppressed", and i think trying to quantify something like that will have you very quickly revealing your own blindspots about how the world works. the context and circumstance that define bigotry and oppression are dynamic and defined by human experience, and are therefore not really something you can score and compare to that degree of specificity.
i also think rendering transphobia as a matter that affects a binary of trans men and trans women is reductive on how gender actually works. the type of transphobia that youre thinking of that affects "trans men" affects more than just trans men. the type of transphobia youre thinking of that affects "trans women", which exists at the intersection of the very real bigotries of misogyny and transphobia, affects more than just trans women.
that being said, i think that people affected by transmisogyny are categorically more violently subjugated and actively demonzied by transphobes than those who are not. the efforts to paint them to be interpreted by society as threats makes life significantly more difficult on a base level than it is for people not affected by transmisogyny.

there's a really fun balance when you know someone has a crush on you where you can tease them for having a crush on you without letting them know you know they have a crush on you. this only works because people who have crushes will analyze everything you say but not very well. anyway, i love playing with my food.

We are truly, truly glad to be reinstated. That said. We feel we must voice a comment.
Being banned was devastating. As i am sure it was for many others.
But what we saw, then, was a wave of kind, loving, and rightfully upset messages. To us, and spread on posts by every name we knew. It was truly a great warmth for our heart.
I. I can’t express how much it meant, really. To see all those people, send nice messages, be upset in our behalf, it. Thank you. Every single one of you, thank you. I don’t think we saw every one of them - i don’t think we could - but gods.
Seeing that endless care from friends, aquiantances, and people we knew was very nice.
And now we’re back, and the outpour of love has been just so, so much. Thank you, all of you, for loving me.
Have a good night. Never stop making more girls.
