Did cordelia even love ayato ? I feel like she genuinely hated him and saw him as a useless worthless loser who failed to win against the other wives' children.

Cordelia didn’t straight up see him as a loser, but rather she just knew he had potential, yet was angry that he never wanted to use it. One of her mistakes was that she forced him too much to compete with Reiji and Shu, instead of focusing on what Ayato genuinely likes to do. He’s a basketball prodigy (+ good at sports in general), a good rapper and not only is he great at slow dancing but he’s also able to free-style, which makes him an amazing dancer overall. Ayato might not be good at things Reiji or Shu are, but truth be told, they wouldn’t be good at what Ayato does either, and that’s fine. Each person is different and there’s no need to copy someone if your passions are different.

Nevertheless, there’s this CD drama (or short story) I’ve seen Japanese fans talk about and apparently there’s one thing she really liked about him: his face. :”)

The fact that Yui thought Ayato only used her for blood and Ayato thought Yui only used him for pleasure is literally so sad, yet it could have been so easily avoided if they both knew how to communicate. T-T
