Please donate to Eslam family!
“My name is Eslam from Gaza, I’m 29 years old, and I’m a children teacher from Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip. a mother of two daughters, Hanaa 5 years old, and Alma, 10 months old. My husband Rasmi is the director of 3 language and training centers. In this war, our house was completely destroyed and razed to the ground, and my husband’s centers were blown up. He lost his job, and we were completely displaced, and we are now homeless and jobless, My two young daughters constantly suffer from diseases due to malnutrition and water pollution.
Danger and death surround us all day and all night. We have lost everything and depend on donations to survive and, most of all, to have any hope of escaping this genocide and evacuating to safety in Egypt. The cost of daily living continues to rise significantly in Gaza - imagine that we cannot find the type of milk for our daughter because of its high price. There is no kind of detergent and this is the cause of skin diseases for my two little girls. We bought a piece of soap for $30! ، and detergent is 100$"
As of 8:46pm November 11, 2024 (GMT+8) $31,955 raised out of $50,000

a whole bunch of gazan mutual aid projects and nonprofits. if the decision of which individual fundraiser to give to feels too daunting, or if you just want to help as many people as possible in one go, these are great initiatives to support.

glia gaza medical support initiative - provides medical care through field clinics and tents at hospitals. donations can also be sent through their website.

life for gaza - raising money for the gaza municipality to repair water and waste management infrastructure
taawon - partners with local civil organizations to provide food, water, medical care, shelter, and basic supplies
the sameer project - running various initiatives providing tents, medical care, and necessities. they have their own encampment project focused on sheltering families with children, sick and disabled members, or members in need of perinatal care
islamic relief worldwide's gaza emergency appeal - provides food, water, hygiene kits, medical supplies, and psychological support
baitulmaal - provides a variety of necessities, including food, water, shelter, and medical supplies

My dear lgbt+ kids,
If you know you don't want to get pregnant anytime soon, here are some options to consider.
Implant
A birth control implant is a plastic rod (about the size of a matchstick) that is implanted under the skin. It releases progestin which blocks ovulation. It lasts up to 3 years and can be removed anytime. It doesn't require a pelvic exam and it doesn't have estrogen (important for people who want or need to avoid it).
It can cause side effects but they are usually minor, such as acne or breast tenderness.
Cooper IUD (also called nonhormonal IUD)
An IUD is a small, T-shaped instrument that gets placed in your uterus. Sperm don't like cooper - when they run into a copper IUD, they swim in the opposite direction which keeps them from getting to the egg. It lasts up to 12 years and can be removed. (If you change your mind and want a baby, you can even start trying immediately after removal!)
Side effects can include random spotting during early use as well as a heavier flow and more cramps during your period. Some people experience discomfort after the insertion but that's short-lived and can usually be relieved with OTC painkillers.
Hormonal IUD
The same as above but it releases a small amount of progestin (much less progestin than found in birth control pills). It lasts for 3 to 7 years and usually makes you stop having periods or makes them much lighter. (If you change your mind and want a baby, it will take some time after removal before you can start trying.)
You may experience cramping or dizziness during the insertion procedure- Some also experience spotting and cramping for 3 to 6 months after but once your body gets used to it, it goes away.
All three of these are very effective ways to prevent pregnancy (with over 99% effectiveness) because they are "forgettable". You don't need to remember any schedule or plan ahead before you have sex.
Important to remember: They do not prevent STDs!
With all my love,
Your Tumblr Dad

Hello everyone, I have another campaign to share.
Mohi and his family are trapped in Ghazza. They've been displaced 10 times so far, and a large portion of the family has been lost. Their home was destroyed, as well as the clothing shops where they used to work.
They currently live in horrible conditions with disease running rampant, no access to food, and no access to water. Mohi's mother is chronically ill and has no way to be treated, and he himself is currently recovering from gallbladder surgery in these conditions.
In order to evacuate and re-establish their lives in Egypt, they need to raise $31,000 USD. As of writing this, they've only raised $19,356; and incredible amount, but still not enough.
Please donate to their campaign if you can and share it. They need your help and are getting close to their goal. Your help can finally help them reach it.

man i don't know how to say this but gazans here are risking their lives to make posts asking for help. they are asking for you to contribute a small amount of money to buy food or medicines or get shelter.
whether we like it or not, we are complicit in this genocide. either because of our silence, or because our tax money if being used to bomb them. i thought that people would be more eager to help gazans, trying to 'reverse' the damage somehow.
contrary to what i thought, people are moving on. they're moving on from the al-shifa hospital strike, they're moving on from refugee camp massacres and from school bombings, they're moving on from dead children and orphaned children.
please don't be indifferent. help my friend alaa amsse [ @alaakh998 ]. she urgently needs money to buy a new tent. she needs medicine for her sick son. her tent was flooded and she needs to buy supplies. please please help her if you have the means to. her fundraiser has been verified by 90-ghost and the butterfly project (#307).

A Year of Genocide
The Civil Defense Directorate in the Gaza Strip published statistics for the year of genocide on the Gaza Strip, which can be found in English and Arabic in the attached PDFs, or as a Flipbook here.
In the last year, 3,654 massacres were committed by the enemy, resulting in over 51,870 martyrs and missing people. 902 families were erased from the civil registry, and 36 were martyred by starvation. From these, 986 martyrs were medical staff, or about 1 in every 40 known martyr, 175 martyrs were journalists, and 85 are civil defense officers. 2,300 of these bodies were stolen by the IOF from 19 out of 60 cemeteries.
149,036 Gazans are either martyred, wounded, or missing, 69% of them children and women. 187 displacement shelters were targeted by the IOF, including 27 in the last two days.
462 schools and universities have been destroyed by the occupation, and 12,700 of the martyrs were students, while 750 of them were teachers, and 130 of them scientists and academics.
34 hospitals, 80 health centers, and 162 health centers were taken out of service, and 131 ambulances were targeted.
Out of 1,245 mosques, 815 of them were destroyed, in addition to three churches. 200,000 housing units were destroyed, using 85,000 tons of explosives, equivalent to six Hiroshima bombs.
3,130 km of electricity networks were destroyed, 330,000 meters of water networks, 655,000 meters of sewage networks, and 2,835,000 meters of road and street networks.
86% of the Gaza Strip has been destroyed.

late night messy but colored warm up sketches of Navani and Raboniel because I needed to figure out how I draw them so I can.... draw them. yep. (want to do at least a few sketches for navanieltober so. I figured I should decide on designs ahead of time.)
in other news I've been mentally saying some variations of "old gay women aaaaaaaaaaa" and "ok, I get it Dalinar" and so on in my brain for hours. I love them.

they'll fund a genocide and let their poor regions be destroyed. don't fucking forgive them for that.
my hometown is completely gone from what pictures i can find of it, i have not heard from my family (including aunts, uncles, parents, one sibling, and a grandparent), and the infrastructure in the mountain communities is wiped out. i cannot stress how catastrophic this is, or how difficult it will be for these communities to build back. i am angry, and scared, and heartbroken by everything that's happened.
and our government is spending it's money to fund a genocide.
free palestine, and don't be complicit. realize that this is not something happening that doesn't affect you--although it shouldn't take this to care about the deaths of thousands of people anyway.

Messaging people for the first time is so hard. What am I supposed to say? Like, "You seem really odd and your blog intrigues me. Do you want to have philosophical conversations or perhaps talk about fictional characters?" What! Whatever. I will just follow you back and stare at your blog with my big beautiful brown eyes.
