Profection years in astrology

Hello guys! I’ve noticed that usually astrologers don’t pay attention a lot on profection years in astrology and I thought I’d introduce this topic myself and share my observations and explanations on this.

So in astrology, every year of our life has a certain theme to it based on your age and based on what house your age “falls in” with that being said - here’s a chart of what age falls into each astrological house.

What can this indicate? Understanding the profection year you’re in can help you predict what type of year you’ll have ahead for you and some themes you can expect to happen. This can be similar to a Solar Return chart, but this is an easier version of it especially for beginners who aren’t advanced in reading their charts.

What you can expect from each profection year:

PF 1

The year where your life completely changes around, for the better or for the worse.

Being mistreated a lot for no reason

Traumatic experiences.

Karma

Cutting ties, removing yourself from the social world, new beginnings

Lust for love, intimacy and sexual relations.

Low self-esteem

Fall outs with your closest ones because either you reveal your true colors or they do

Not feeling enough because of the traumatic experiences and karma

Setting bigger boundaries, standards becoming higher, trust issues, moodiness

Making unforgettable memories (mostly good ones)

Revealing some sort of truth (mostly related to family and friends)

Appreciating yourself more and maturing, accepting changes, letting your intuition guide you

Being unable to resist risky situations, seeking for drama and action/fun

Communication skills becoming amazing or better

Overspending money but being more humanitarian with it as well

Realizing your self worth, learning about other people and their cultures/being interested into the opposites of yourself

Even though Saturn doesn’t ruler over the third house he’ll make an entrance into your life, will mostly protect you but throw lessons at you!

Letting go of certain people you couldn’t seem to let go of

Having a lot of fun wether it be online or in real life

Receiving random presents or surprises

People start complimenting you a lot more than usual

You get more recognition (especially if you’re the quiet type of person or if you’re shy)

Working on your goals, manifestations happening instantly, achieving your desires easily.

Isolation, anxiety or temporary depression (shouldn’t last for long)

This time you will be able to accept the fact that most of the events that have happened to you were lessons only

Your Voice, Speech Development and Communication in Astrology [🌊 WATER SIGNS]

[This post is researched and written by a Virgo Mercury, Gemini Moon, 2H Capricorn Jupiter, 3H Capricorn Neptune, and 3H Aquarius Uranus (Placidus) *Minor changes with 2H Sagittarius Pluto and 3H Capricorn Jupiter (Whole Signs)]

When analyzing our voice, speech and communication in astrology, we must observe the sign-planetary placements and conditions of the 2nd and 3rd houses. The reasoning for this is due to the fact that in Medical/Anatomical astrology, the 2nd house (traditionally ruled by Taurus) represents the vocal cords and throat, whereas the 3rd house (traditionally ruled by Gemini) rules the lungs and respiratory tract. Moreover, the latter sign is ruled by Mercury, also known as the ‘Messenger of Gods’ in Greek mythology. Hence it is fitting how this house focuses on communication, intellect, and memory— it is the best place to look in the natal chart for speech development and traits.

Since the 3rd house also points towards a natives’ primary-high school education, siblings, and neighbourhood or local environment, we could certainly see how they have been socialized. Speech development relies on a lot of one’s surrounding influences (especially during childhood), therefore we may see some interconnections and patterns in the themes of my research:

WATER

Having the element of Water ruling over either the 2nd or 3rd house may refer to a native who is quite emotional and compassionate. Since these houses refer to security and much of a native’s surroundings, they may have experienced a need to express their feelings at an early age. Hence, poetic/artistic and soft voices and speech styles are prominent and reflected here.

Cancer/Moon (Cardinal modality)

Like the ‘Lunar Goddess,’ a native with Cancer/Moon on the 2nd or 3rd may have a voice that sounds patient, motherly, and nurturing

Their speech style is a lot more dynamic than the other two Water signs because of its Cardinal modality

Communication: Developmental factors and influences

During childhood, these natives may have experienced being the “mother” of their sibling(s). This creates a person who could likely put a baby to sleep with a voice suitable for a lullaby. Otherwise, they might enjoy using "babble talk"

Their parents may have instilled a “family first” mindset in them, molding them into someone who has a strong attachment towards their kin. As a result, they may feel most comfortable communicating their emotions to them rather than external connections

Much of their childhood development revolved around influences of the mother and/or overall familial-ancestral stories (folklore/traditions) and inheritance, making their voice or speaking style very reminiscent of another relative

Additionally, this could manifest in a way that makes these natives may feel the need to carry on learning their “mother tongue”

They may also speak to their neighbours and peers from primary-high school as if they were family (ex. Tribes that rely on preservation of language and kinship to protect their people and culture from dying out)

Since the native may have been more emotional than rational by nature, they likely learned how to express themselves through therapeutic and nurturing modes of communication (ex. ASMR, journaling/scrapbooking, writing recipes)

May have been homeschooled— potentially causing them to be more openly communicative or take initiative in conversations (emphasizing Cardinal modality traits)

Their voice and speech may vary depending on their emotions, since Cancer/Moons can become “crabby”...

Medical/Anatomical astrology as a reference

Cancer rules the chest in Medical/Anatomical astrology, so the native may have a ‘chest voice,’ which is a warm and low vocal range

*Note: As comparison, Mariah Carey has a Cancer Moon in her 3rd house in Placidus. We could see that she naturally has a deeper speaking voice than Ariana Grande. Although while singing, Mariah can reach high octaves through bringing out air from both her chest and lungs, up to her head (she’s an Aries Stellium). When reading their charts in Whole Signs, they both have unafflicted Air signs ruling their 2nd houses and Water signs ruling their 3rd houses— Mariah having Gemini-Cancer and Ariana having Aquarius-Pisces, therefore giving them very skilled, fluid, and talented voices. -- refer to Aries/Mars to read about Ariana Grande

Scorpio/Pluto (Fixed modality)

Like the ‘God of the Underworld,’ a native with Scorpio/Pluto on the 2nd or 3rd may have a voice that sounds dark, grungy, and powerful

Some may describe their voice as mysterious or even seductive since their speech style is a lot slower than the other two water signs because of its Fixed modality. On top of that, Scorpio is traditionally ruled by Mars, so these natives may have vocal fry or a hoarseness to their voices

Communication: Developmental factors and influences

Since Scorpio/Pluto rules mysteriousness and other people’s money, the child’s family may have been involved in situations that required alertness and privacy or the parents were secretive in general. The native likely adopted this habit, making them seem reserved

Another factor for the above example could be that they grew up in a quietly gated neighbourhood or community

Alternatively if there are afflictions, one manifestation of the native's intensity and private nature may come from their traumas or exposure to taboo themes during primary-high school

They may have also been home-schooled instead, potentially due to their parents’ protectiveness. As a result, their speech development is reflective of this environment

Their voice or speech style likely transformed over the years, potentially due to some damage to their throat or vocal cords, since Scorpio/Pluto also rules destruction

The native of this placement may have a monotone voice as well, making it difficult for others to make out their emotions or even come off as threatening. In reality, they are highly intuitive and sensitive… therefore those who they deem as close friends will get to listen to their depth

They may feel insecure about their voice, and will therefore try to hide— Scorpio/Pluto energy is unintentionally noticeable though

Medical/Anatomical astrology as a reference

Scorpio rules the nose in Medical/Anatomical astrology, so the native’s voice may be affected by its airway (ex. Nasally voices)

*Note: I have a hypothesis that Corpse Husband has an afflicted Scorpio/Pluto over his 2nd House or afflicted Taurus, Virgo, and Cancer placement(s) since he has GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease). These placements would explain his health problems regarding the acid (Virgo references digestive problems) in his stomach (ruled by Cancer), and of course his damaged esophagus (ruled by Taurus).

Pisces/Neptune (Mutable modality)

Voice and Speech: How the elements manifest

Like the ‘God of the Sea,’ a native with Pisces/Neptune on the 2nd or 3rd may have a voice that sounds dreamy, fluid, and surreal… similar to Sirens

Considering that Pisces/Neptune rules illusions, and therefore having influence over cameras, the native’s voice may sound different to several people especially in a recording

As noted above, the native may create their own illusions within the mind and therefore, have increased likelihood to experience losing their train of thought or space out during a conversation

If applicable, a native may have a lisp or a tendency to slur their sentences while speaking... in other words, not enunciating clearly. This is one specific manifestation of the Pisces/Neptunian energy that’s connected/referenced to alcohol or drugs

Their speech style is also a lot more flexible than the other two Water signs because of its Mutable modality. On top of that, Pisces is traditionally ruled by Jupiter, so these natives may sound confident or have talents in tonal or romance languages and reaching different pitches. Otherwise, there’s some clumsiness and confusion when they try to translate their thoughts into words

Communication: Developmental factors and influences

Since Pisces is the oldest sign of the zodiac, and regarded as an “old soul,” this native may speak as though they have the “only or older child” syndrome (specifically traits relating to isolation and burdens)

During their childhood, they may have been exposed to difficult situations which helped them grow compassion for those who suffer from mental, emotional and physical illnesses. Through their empathic nature, they developed a need to express themselves in abstract ways

The child may have been aware of external realms or entities, being naturally psychic and therefore understanding how to sway others’ emotions or comfort them

Alternatively, the child may have been encouraged by their parents to be either religious/spiritual or artistic (ex. being placed in a Montessori or an art school), so their speech development may have revolved around those themes

If this placement is afflicted, the child’s parents may have experienced addictions to alcohol or drugs. This may have altered the child’s sense of security, and therefore influenced them to isolate or repress themselves into a world of their own imagination rather than openly communicating… a.k.a escapism

Pisces/Neptune also references the darkness, fears, secrets and enemies— the native may have often decided to keep their thoughts and feelings to themselves rather than communicating them; to preserve their own energy

Seen as beautifully artistic and poetic storytellers due to their depth. Hence, they may have the talent to create fictional/fantasy languages (ex. Elvish from J.R.R Tolkien’s work, Simlish from Sims, etc)

Medical/Anatomical astrology as a reference

Jupiter rules long term memories and Pisces/Neptune is known to rule the subconscious mind, so the native may have the ability to communicate or perceive their thoughts and emotions in very colourful ways (if the placements are not afflicted). Otherwise, there may be developments of neurodegenerative diseases (ex. Alzheimer’s/Dementia)— although this requires further investigation of the aspects in the native’s chart.

🍬. | made by a libra sun, libra rising, and leo moon. :)

🧞cancer moon natives have special connections to their grandmothers. my brother and cousin have cancer moons and they speak so highly of their grandmothers and love them very much.

🧞mars square moon vs. the need to throw something when angry 😀 like calm down, honey, the world isn’t ending because you lost your favorite pencil 😀 (this is particularly a callout. shhhh.)

🧞not an observation, but i love gemini moons. heavily makeout with me under red led lights you absolute bafoons.

🧞libra placements are SO GOOD at playing dumb. too good. especially with our airhead stereotype?? come on, y’all. use it to your advantage, or don’t use her at all. 🙄 #girlboss or something idk.

🧞if someone’s jupiter is the same sign as your venus or vice versa, prepare to be spoiled. 🙄 it’s most likely as a “i got this because it reminded me of you” type spoil. gift giving is a love language with this aspect.

🧞pisces placements and their infatuation with the color purple. i have not met one pisces placement who does not absolutely adore the color purple.

🧞harsh jupiter-sun/asc. aspects may have been put down for showing their happiness/telling people about their accomplishments. they develop a tough shell at an earlier age. people may have thought that they were bragging or being arrogant for talking about what caused their happiness. :(

🧞while moon in 11H may be into activism, they have to learn to not be TOO involved with it. by “too involved,” i mean like neglecting their emotional well-being for their community. you can be mad. you can be angry. you can WANT to fight, but just PUHLEASE take care of yourself, and don’t put all of your well-being into it.

also, moon in 11H, don’t become emotionally attached to your opinions. others have differing views that are bound to come up.

🧞6H stelliums may have been late bloomers and if they have lilith in the 11H, they were most likely bullied for it.

🧞moving from that sad stuff, virgo & aquarius placements have amazing hairlines. that bitch never moves. she is cemented. she is the moment.

🧞venus in the 4H 🤝 “just chilling” as a love language. GOD they are SO respectful and they put your needs before theirs?? they don’t need to do that all the time, but they’re so considerate. the boyf has this placement, and his venus is in taurus too. :) (HOW IS HE SO HOT... AND RESPECTFUL-)

🧞venus/moon in the 9H may like listening to music in other languages! french and japanese are big ones i’ve noticed. :)

piggybacking off of this, they may also like “old timey” music like crooners, soft jazz, etc. they have such a charming music taste.

🧞children with both cardinal suns and a cardinal moon are SO BOSSY BAHAHAHA i was with my libra sun, cancer moon three-year-old cousin and he was telling me what to do while i was making him his lunch. like.. boy if you know how to do it, why not do it yourself, damn. 🙄😒

🧞leo placements and the irresistible, pulsating, primal urge to have a heated makeout session with each and every one of their besties. but, “bestie vibes only‼️😜”

🦹🏻‍♀️okay y’all. we know the 2H rules finances, and stelliums there indicate financial struggle, however i’ve noticed that 2H prominence also could indicate a divorce in a SR chart. and with malefic planets in partnership houses too? oh, buddy.

🦹🏻‍♀️having a sagittarius asc in a SR chart could indicate travel.

🦹🏻‍♀️branching off that, jupiter dominance could indicate travel as well. jupiter in the 3H is more shorter distance travel and jupiter 9H is more longer distance travel. you could feel really busy with these placements, too.

🦹🏻‍♀️uranus in the 9H (if well aspected) is like “all of a sudden” getting super good at school. like you start understanding more and getting better grades. your public image in school changes too.

🦹🏻‍♀️my brother’s SR chart has his moon at 5°, his mars at 29° and his jupiter at 17° with his uranus in the 5H.🧍 his asc is also at 0°. truly the coolest SR chart i’ve seen.

🦹🏻‍♀️12H stellium?? in SR chart?? have fun going within yourself :) the divine is also heavily with you. you could be looking into your ancestors or looking to practice something esoteric.

jealousy and your 5H sign

i’ll be talking about your jealousy level when you have a crush on someone or when you’re in a relationship! 5H represents how jealous someone is, 8H deals with this too but 8H is more about toxic/karmic relationships.

5H IN SIGNS

𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉𝒽 𝒻𝒾𝒻𝓉𝒽

TAURUS: taurus is the sister sign of scorpio and scorpio is all about jealousy and possessiveness. sister signs are supposed to be complete opposites but something about scorpio that taurus took is definitely uncontrollable jealousy issues. taurus 5H people will know deep down they’re jealous but won’t admit it and they’re very good at hiding it and the reason for that is because it squares their aquarius 2h house - the house of our belongings. don’t get fooled here thinking the capricorn rising you’re dealing with isn’t showing jealousy because they are, just not openly (if they do show it it could get physical because their 8H is in leo and leo is represented by the lion. what does the lion do? protect his loved ones.)

VIRGO: honestly i wouldn’t even try making a virgo 5H jealous because they’ll just return the same energy and make you be the hurt one. but if they’re not the ones trying to make you jealous and someone else then they’ll feel every word the other person said.. when they get attached to someone the thought of their person with someone else seems like hell. they’re the type to go after your man/girl because you went after theirs, they’ll keep it classy

CAPRICORN: ‘if you’re mine you’re no one else’s.’ these people just aren’t afraid to let anyone know you aren’t someone that’s available for sharing. they will go off on whoever is trying to approach you - but be careful sometimes they might test you (since their scorpio is in 3H and scorpios always want to know if their partner is loyal too) and see what you’ll do about it. if you ignore them or smile because you’re “uncomfortable” trust me this virgo rising you’re dealing with is definitely giving you the silent treatment. capricorn 5H individuals see red when someone else approaches what belongs to them. their jealousy is worse since their 7H is in pisces and pisces usually daydreams of marrying whoever they end up with

GEMINI: honestly they’ll just get up and cuss you out 😭 (the person who’s trying to get them jealous about you) but if it’s you that’s making them jealous on purpose they either return the same energy or give you the death stare that’s telling you try again if you’re bold enough - a gemini 5H either gets physical or extremely hurtful with their words. they want to know the person they cussed out over you made sure to understand to never try to be near your presence again. if you’re the person constantly doing this they will soon enough realize that they need to leave you because you will seem like you’re not worth it to them.

LIBRA: libra 5H doesnt even care like that. they have a similar trait to leo venus - either appreciate me only or someone else will. fighting over someone is too humiliating for them plus libras want to experience fairytale romance so if you’re not willing to provide that for them then you’re free to go. now if someone else is trying to make them be jealous they’re just the type to grab you and kiss you in front of them because like i said they could care less and they’ll make them jealous instead

AQUARIUS: it’s only three things you can expect here lol a) death stare b) so what will you do about it? c) should i start fighting them or will you calm me down? aquarius 5H with their aries 7H really lose it quickly. they truly believe they’re powerful and deep down they know no one can replace them so you can try making them jealous all you want they know what you’re thinking already. if the other person is trying to make them jealous over you all they need is their death stare in order to make them leave lmfao. their 5H in aquarius squares their 8H in taurus so if they have their mars there it’s a little chance they’ll get physical because their pride makes them feel like fighting is embarrassing. if you’re moving on from this libra rising that’s when they show their true jealous side if they really like you, pay attention!

when pluto makes contact with an individuals rising sign, the nature of the rising darkens and changes. pluto caressing the ascendant gives depth to even the more bubbly, vivacious air ascendants. pluto intensifies the nature of the chart ruler. this post will be on major aspects

pluto trine/sextile ascendant: darkly charming

individuals with the easy flow of pluto energy can be some of the luckiest people around. i don’t mean luck in the jupiter sort of way, i mean luck as in they’re strong, complex, able souls. while pluto inherently can add conflict for the purpose of growth, these people deal with what life throws at them with a grounded, strong energy. ready and able to tackle the conflicts that are spat at them. something about the way these people come off is entrancing and magnetic. they come off as less intense than the harder aspects, most likely to come off as a charming person with some depth. if mercury is also aspecting pluto the individual may love to get to the bottom of things, do investigative work and connect things in everyday life that are just below the surface. even if mercury isn’t aspecting pluto, the native will possibly still have an interest in the underground, cold cases, hidden worlds. the eyes of these individuals will have a more notable pierce to them, masters of the side glance. these people will not trust easy, even bubbly rising signs will be put on edge meeting people for the first time. they can also have loner tendencies, due to the inclination to not trust many people. the personal power these people possess is most likely to be used in a balanced way that is easier to handle. they will likely be quite inquisitive, wanting to know the why to everything, and less about the how.

people born with the hard pluto-ascendant aspects are big personalities, but how much of that big personality they show to the world depends. they’re not going to light up a room like positive sun-ascendant, or be unapologetically loud and proud like mars-ascendant. these are the people in the background having eye sex with everyone and reading you like an open book from afar. these people do not trust easily, while even the easy aspects can have issues trusting, the hard aspects can be quite paranoid. these are people that very much like privacy. they can be quite paranoid about other people’s intentions, and they’re likely to think of people as the monster under the bed.

a traumatic birth/early experience is very common with the hard aspects. either as an infant or while the mother was pregnant, this typically takes the form of a car accident but it can be any life threatening event. the individual may have had to fight to survive at a young age and this will resonate strongly in the personality. these people may not feel like they’re really living unless they’re fighting for something. which can make them strong political leaders, public speakers and lawyers. these are people who are fighters, and are not afraid to get their hands dirty. (all pluto-asc can throw hands but especially the hard aspects watch out 👀)

since they do not trust people, other people also have trouble trusting them. people may always think they’re “up to” something and be the scapegoat for many situations, and possibly unjustifiably blamed for things they did not do. this is a black sheep indicator, especially if pluto is in the 4th house. ocd and bouts of depression are not uncommon as the individual will enjoy being able to control something. these people love to overcome challenges and adversity, and may build their reputation on proving other people wrong (check MC aspects!)

a possible downside these people may really struggle with will be the obsessive tendencies they possess. when pluto-asc get interested in something they’re very interested and if the object is a challenge it’s all the better. if combined with negative venus-pluto, they scream potential restraining orders.

with the conjunct, the individual will be intense especially at first meeting. quite like negative sun-asc aspects they can feel like they don’t come off how they are inside. strong indicator of natural rbf that can be off putting. the truest thing i ever read about this aspect is that people will either love you or they will hate you with very little room for grey space. (especially if you have natal lilith-asc, lilith 1st/10th) with pluto being so close to the ascendant the native is quite likely to have more “pluto” features like a crooked nose, darker hair/eyebrows. eyes will be on the darker side or very light quite like the paradoxical energy of the conjunct, but easy to get lost in. they may get a lot of compliments about their eyes specifically.

everything with them is all or nothing. depending on if pluto is in the 12th house shows how aware of the energy they are. 12th housers may find themselves confused very often by the reactions they get from other people. people with the conjunct feel things intensely, but pull toward a pessimistic view as they’re deeply afraid to get excited or to be happy. when things do begin to go right for these individuals, the paranoia can set in and the thoughts of “when is this happiness going to be taken away from me?” set in. Kurt Cobain had pluto conjunct the ascendant and welll…. explains a lot right?

near death experiences are also common with the hard aspects but specifically the conjunct. the individual may have a lot of moments in life they “barely” made it, and from those moments they are reborn. rebirth is a common theme with pluto-ascendants, with some events in life causing them to change drastically for better or worse.

Disclaimer: A lot of these notes are based on research but also what I know about commonalities among real-life people as well. Also, know that I physically CAN NOT cater to absolute perfection for everybody. I try my best, but don't try to fucking kill me if I don't categorize you 100% correctly.

Mars Signs: what kind of doms/subs they usually are

💝Mutable Mars Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces): Typically vers/switches, it's pretty rare that they have a HEAVY preference for either dom or sub. Most of them tend to like both roles a fairly equal amount.

💝Cardinal Mars Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn): Ah yes. The bratty subs and the doms who like to tease their partners an unholy amount. Tend to have a preference for either sub or dom, but aren't opposed to switching ever now and again.
