Biltwell raised $10,000 that all went directly to the builders this year and they are hoping to generate at least this much cash for 2020. The People’s Champ is going to be a little different from any show we’ve ever been involved in, but in a good way. The final six pack of builders will be required to start their own motorcycle and ride it to Cook’s Corner. This route will be approximately 50 miles of some of the best roads southern California has to offer. This means not only do the builders have to build a beautiful machine, but it has to be an actual motorcycle that runs and rides. Think you have what it takes? “A couple of years ago I had the idea to do a DicE shoot inspired by an old bicycle bikini photo I had saved forever, and we figured Dayten’s new bike would be perfect for it. Troy had already talked to Dean about shooting that bike, so I agreed to produce it for him and get models/locations etc. Crazy thing is that when I reached out to @chicomoto with the inspo photo, he realized that he had actually assisted the original photographer back in the early 90’s and had a total flashback moment as we were talking!!! Anyhow it all came together really well, we found a big group of awesome people to get involved, and we were all scheduled to shoot... then the day before Troy texts me and tells me that @gloriousreaper is 4cm dilated and might be about to have their baby! Troy had been shooting for DicE for many years, but had never shot a cover and this was a big deal to him. Troy, Matt, @kurpius and myself, back in December 2009. We had just had a high speed burn back from Ventura, on our way to LA. There were about about 50 of us on old bikes and it was chaos as we all split lanes on the 101 freeway. We got chased by the police...some people stopped, and some didn’t. Me and these guys didn’t stop. It was a real adrenaline rush and I remember Troy saying, “What police? There were police chasing us?!” Haha typical Troy, just living in the moment and going with the flow. Absolutely heart broken. Words can’t explain how tragic and shocking it was to hear the news of losing our brother this morning. Troy was a friend to myself and Matt since we first met him in Seattle, in 2006, and he was a big part of our family. We love you @chicomoto and we’ll miss you forever.
