Suddenly, another notification chimes through the room. The sharp, electronic ping cuts through the air, breaking the remaining buzz of chatter and laughter. “This better not be another one of your tricks, Dicky.” Hope calls out, her tone a mix of amusement and suspicion. “How in bloody hell could I fake a notification sound like that?” Dicky responds, spreading his palms in disbelief. His accent thickens, and his voice rises slightly, adding a touch of indignation. “It’s me! Guys, I got a text!” Henrik announces, holding up his phone. The screen glows with the new message, and the Islanders lean in to see. <Islanders, the Hideaway is open. Please pick one couple to spend the night there.> A wave of excitement ripples through the room. The prospect of a night in the Hideaway, a private retreat, immediately captures everyone’s attention. Whispers and giggles fill the air as the Islanders exchange glances. “It should be Hope and Noah!” Lottie immediately declares, confident.

“Oh…” the blond man mumbles then, interrupting himself.

“What?” Jason asks, taken aback by his sudden change of demeanour. He raises an eyebrow, his stare turning less harsh.

Gary looks at him through the mirror, with saddened eyes. “I’m worried you might end up coupled up with someone you don’t get along with, lad,” he attempts to explain. “And I’m an awful friend, too. I haven’t even asked who your date was.”

Without saying anything, the mechanic blinks at him. In his quietness, Dicky shuts off the buzzing of his razor and ponders. His movements become slightly more hesitant, shy even.

From afar, both Chatham men exchange silent looks, their gazes showcasing a brotherly appreciation of one another. Remaining as quiet as usual, Dicky gestures a firm yet encouraging nod to his younger mate, letting him know that everything’s going to be okay. In response, Gary forces his lips to shape a thankful smile and returns the same nod. It’s a mere gesture, but it’s just enough for the pair of boys to reciprocate their unbreakable support.

Then, that same smile falls into a heavy frown, and Gary shakes his head. “This is proper brutal,” the muscly blond mutters, disappointed.

All of the sudden, the group’s shock is replaced by franticness, and everyone starts talking at once.

“There has to be a mistake,” Chloe’s voice catches the Islanders’ attention, making everyone go silent. She’s as confused as them, and perhaps even more so because she was sure most girls were voting for Rocco. The cellist knows for a fact that she and Minni definitely did, so there must be at least two girls who voted differently from what they all agreed to, one for each of the other guys.

Hey so I know Dicky and Chloe love their food but what would they give up, food or sex?

You guys are too much lmaooo 

So I’ll start off with Chloe. This woman wouldn’t let you finish the question and interrupt you saying “Food. Food without a question 😐” It’s not that she doesn’t appreciate intimacy (at the same time she doesn’t prioritize it lol) but she’ll be logical about the situation and prefers staying loyal to her appetite hahah Besides, Chloe would die if she doesn’t have her butter lol Now if you had asked her what she’d choose: her music/instruments or food 😭cello girl would have a meltdown and go blank on the question

As for Dicky. One would guess that he’d choose food in a heartbeat, especially when the man is selfish af and won’t share 😂but he would go through a large pause and really contemplate this. There’s no denying Dicky is an asshole but he still knows how to flirt when he wants to put the effort and get his fair share of girls lol he loves all of that. He’d honestly keep going back and forth changing his answer to food then sex until he says he prefers losing an arm than having to decide between either of them 💀

The dark blonde takes a generous pause to breathe in the crisp cool air that’s gently swaying her wavy hair and raises a thin eyebrow at the cellist. Refusing to admit her wrongs, she ignores the question and levels her sight with the elegant brunette. But Chloe is quick to break the eye contact to lower her disheartened gaze and blankly stare at her designer heels.

“If I ever get a chance to recouple with Rocco, I won’t hesitate to go for what I want,” Marisol states, determined.

A scowl wrinkles across Chloe’s beautiful facial features to hear how meaningless Gary is to his current partner. Feeling appalled, disgusted and furious altogether to know the younger blond is being thrown away like an old rag, it causes the classy London girl to clench her tense jaw, forming an angered pout over her snarling lips, and finding all of this simply unfair for the crane operator. A gutted sensation begins to swirl uncomfortably in Chloe’s stomach to realise how likely it is for Gary to be at risk of leaving the Villa all because Marisol was never completely honest with him. Meaning that there’s also the likely chance that his time here could come to a near end and the thought of never seeing his handsome face or hearing his deep masculine voice again until the end of her journey here; it brings this strange emptiness in Chloe’s fragile chest.

There’s nearly not enough composure left within her eyes and darts her glowering golden orbs that burn right through the young woman with wavy ombre locks.

“I know you’re just looking out for yourself but it’s because of Gary that you’re still here, Marisol. He could’ve easily sent you home on that Recoupling,” Chloe quickly snaps back, her velvet voice bitterly stings each time she inhales her shaky breath.
