TLK: Hey Cousin Simba

Needed something actually drawn this January (I started this two days ago so it's January art shhh) so here, have a preteen Nuka and a freshly-crowned Simba mimicking the classic moment where Simba bothers Scar, funnily enough with reversed roles of an actual, rightful king being bothered by someone who thinks they should be king

I forget how this idea occurred to me, I just know it encapsulates what I think Nuka and Simba's relationship would be like. With the common headcanon that Nuka is Scar's child, that would make him a full cousin of Simba. Unfortunately for Simba, he finds that Nuka turns out to be that one token Weird Cousin™️

(Also yes I'm into that headcanon that some time passed between Scar's death and Zira's exile. Rather than an immediate attack after Simba's triumphant roar at the end of the battle, tension built between Zira and Simba before Zira finally blew up at him and she ended up getting herself exiled. Mundane moments like the image above were allowed to happen long before the banishment)

Simba, exhausted from the stress of the reconstruction of the Pridelands as well as becoming king on the spot, now has to deal with his rather loud-mouthed, rambunctious little cousin asking him some rather outrageous questions (what they could be about is up to you. If anyone's interested in coming up with what Nuka's bothering Simba about, you absolutely may, lol)
