The Dirty French Broads- my new fave band 💕 Kate is so fun to listen to. She has great stories while she sings. My Asheville friends Twig and Laura introduced us to them on a crisp fall day I think 2022 at the Funkatorium. They were so fun to watch. A wedding party happened to be there and that was hysterical. Bunch of Appalachian drinkin and dancin. They have a new bass player these days but he’s awesome too. These clips are from a show at Highland Brewing. That place is huge.

I can’t wait to see these broads again soon 🎉

Going to Captiva Island for Island Hopper Fest 2023 was fun until it wasn’t. I got eaten alive by these damn flying gnats. Sand flea things. I don’t know they were everywhere. There had been a bad hurricane before and apparently that was one reason.

The sunsets were some of the most spectacular I’ve ever seen.

I loved seeing the music and hanging out. My favorite thing to do is take pics, video, and document. 😊

These are my best friends. I still have my most bff, my sis, the OG, Aliesha. She’s the queen bff.

But these two here are my homies. We have had a lot of adventures with music and I hope we have so many more. This pic was in the Bahamas on one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been on.

This was a day during the Melissa Etheridge cruise 2021. I didn’t know it but a few months later I’d be fighting for my life after taking the required v a € € ne. That’s a whole nutha post. I’m glad I’m still here.

I am still pretty picky on which shows I go to. Money, time, locations, parking, crowd levels all matter now in middle age 😂 Funny how time sneaks up on you

One of my favorite things is going to friends in Asheville for the summer yard shows they curate the best singer songwriters for an intimate night of music all spring and summer long. 😍

I work with Sonia Leigh now. So I go to her shows as long as I’m able. I’ve had some health issues that’s kept me home so I’ve missed a few.

One of my best friends is a fantastic singer and writer. I get to hear her play all the time. I’ll make a post about her soon.

I’m so glad for all the creatives I know. And that I’m so creative too. Working in the arts is a dream.

Where have I been?

I have been around. I am still going to shows but way more selective. Not because I am snobby. Time is valuable. So is actual cash. I seem to have less of both. Who knew as your kids got older you get busier? Welp you do. You turn into a chaffuer. I spend a lot of my time in the car. And if you go anywhere in Atlanta you’re in the car FOR-EVER. Traffic is shitty.

So at the moment as I type I am watching a Persicope of the last NKOTB show of this tour. I missed Donnie pulling up my girl, Jessa to dance! LUCKY B. I can’t wait to hear about it. Gosh I have loved these guys for 29 years. WOW!! 29 years is a long time but I love them. I always have. Even when it was dorky to love them, I did. I still liked my 90s grunge but I liked my boys too. I just didn’t talk about it much. ha ha.

So we went to the ATL show. I was so not excited for Paula Abdul and Boyz II Men. But once I Was there and they were singing I got excited. Paula lip synced but she danced so well. It was so fun. I knew every song. Danced and sang all night. This may have been my MOST favorite NKOTB show. It was sooooo good. JON sang!! They went to their first album and did a medley. Gosh it was so good. Kept the focus on music and not theatrics. I loved every second. All my pics are on my phone and I m typing on my laptop. I will have to do another post with them.
