How TADC And Helluva Boss Handled Vulnerable Heart To Heart Moments

One thing I notice is how this scene in "Untitled" from Digital Circus compares with the heart to heart that Stolas and Blitzo had in "Apology Tour". While both are meant to develop a vulnerable side of a jerkass character, I feel more for the relationship between Pomni than I ever will for Stolas and Blitzo. I feel with Pomni and Jax that even though it's not romantic there is something positive growing between them because Jax is allowing himself to be vulnerable and not having to do his jerk routine. Jax allows himself to show that he's not fully the sociopath that he's condition himself and Pomni realizes that sometime it's alright to be a jerk.

Stolas and Blitzo on the other hand despite this supposed to be a sweet moment between them it just shows why they shouldn't be together despite what the narrative says. This moment is just a demonstration of why Stolitz as a ship is toxic, especially when they avoid giving Stolas any accountability for his actions. It doesn't help as well that unlike Jax Stolas comes more of a pathetic whiny baby who only feels pity for himself and really shows that doesn't truly love Blitzo but the idea of being in love. He only wants what he can get out of it instead of what he can do for another person.

Yeah, the biggest difference between Stolas and Jax is that the latter owns being a pos while former tries to deny he's done anything wrong while deeply believing in his delusions of romance. It makes him feel more authentic to open up to unlike Stolas who is so wrapped up in his fantasies that it's like talking to a thick black wall of self-pity who leaves you feeling more shitty than you start. Which in contrast with someone like Jax who at first you don't think would contribute anything positive but then ends up surprising you when he actually doesn't do something shitty.

I'm getting really tired of people villainizing Jax to death, it's particularly always Ragatha or Gangle fans that are literally immune to admitting when their faves are in the wrong

Ragatha fucked up this episode, that's fine, that's character development, but can we please just be fair and say that she was being the aggressor here? She has her reasons and I understand but what happened to the "your past trauma isn't a excuse to treat others terribly" argument that's constantly being used against Jax?

I'm getting so sick of people doing the exact same fucking thing as Ragatha in the show and actively trying to prevent Jax from making any progress. Not letting him change or grow or make friends, defining him by his past mistakes instead of letting him explore other ways to cope with his troubles. Not giving him the slightest bit of patience or empathy, even when he tries to be vulnerable.

He spent more than half the show miserable, tied up, beat down, and humiliated. Give the man a break.
