Week 12 - Livestream
This task allowed me to get an insight on how streamers connect with their audience. The chat feature answering questions live and quickly is actually a lot easier and more efficient than I was expecting. As someone who doesn’t watch gaming streams or anything of that nature, I was never aware of the live chat feature.
The use of live streams can be beneficial in multiple ways for sporting organisations. Live streams are becoming more and more accessible on social media platforms making it easier for sporting organisations to showcase some of their experiences. This can be things such as live streaming training, behind the scenes type of stuff, pre-game and post-game interviews and many more things. These interactions between the sporting organisations and their fans help the fans feel more attached to the club and ultimately help them follow the team more. (N/A, N/A) tells us that benefits of live streaming can include helping to grow the audience and increasing interactions. These two benefits both help tie into the sporting organisations overall goal of increasing their business performance and through this a greater fan base can be generated.

Week 9 - Edited Interview
The editing of this video caused me to use skills I didn’t know I had. Previously never opening the iMovie app once, I had no idea where to begin. However, after a few YouTube tutorials I began my editing process. The matching of the two separate videos together proved the biggest struggle as the timing of the sounds was extremely difficult to get perfectly right. Along with cutting certain parts out and including transitions in between questions and answers, I felt like I was properly getting my head around how to edit.
The editing you see by large sporting organisations in the interviews they conduct are at a very high level. This is needed as the fans want to see the best possible product they can create. By including cut always to other videos such as highlights, it helps keep the interviews entertaining and the viewers interested. (Junker, 2012) explains that the use of editing tools is one of the best ways to help get the message you are aiming for across to the viewers, this can also be by the use of heading and small texts in between cuts to get certain facts across. By the fans enjoying interviews and these types of videos it will only add to their want to watch them in action, thus adding to the want of the sport the fans want to see.

Week 7 - Interview
This interview filmed of Daniel Paul showed me the great importance of positioning of the interviewee while being interviewed. After many trial and errors, it was clear that by being positioned either off centre or on the wrong side to the beneficial side it clearly effected the video. It was clear that by having Dan talking into the space next to the camera rather than to the camera along with him facing just off centre to the camera that it felt truer to the audience that he was having a real conversation to someone.
Sporting organisations can use interviews as a great way to help engage their fans further through social media. This can be by interviewing players on any topics such as game related or just for a chat. The easy access through social media allows fans to view this with easy helping them feel more connected with the organisation. Although the content to make may be easy, (Iftekhar et al., 2017) explains that the adjustments made by the positioning of the interviewee or interviewee’s along with the camera positioning can ultimately change the way the user perceive and view the video. This makes it importsant that the organisations follow the rules used to be able to create effective and easy to watch interviews.

Week 6 - Photos
Photoshop is always becoming larger and larger in the current world. This is as people are always finding new ways to enhance photos at the benefit of them or their business.
Through this exercise I found the many different way you are able to alter photos and just how many possible changes you can make, weather this be saturation, brightness, exposure and many more features. It showed me just how a simple edit can change the whole view of a photo and the best ways to express the message you are trying to get across. For example in my first picture, it was clear the use of the black and white edit could significantly make the person in the picture stand out just that bit more.
Sporting organisation can use the world of photoshop to significantly enhance their products. The use of photoshop can allow them to take any photos from specific games such as a photo of fans at a footy game, and enhance the photo to portray their fans as being the centre piece of the photo. This could be the use of blurring the other fans, or even editing to make your specific fans stand out from the rest with the use of increased brightness and exposure. (Cole & Williams 2010) say in their piece that the opportunities photoshop can create are endless, if sporting organisations can use this to their advantage it can help them create better marketing photos to overall sell their products at a greater rate.

The following photos are variations of 3 different photos following the required edits asked being, an adjustment of exposure, a white balance adjustment, adjustment of colour saturation, a black and white version and a cropped version of the image.

Week 4 - Podcast
This podcast made me realise how hard it can be to talk for so long when actually needing to talk about a certain subject. By doing this podcast it showed me that the art of planning can never understated, as we did not have a great plan coming into the recording of the podcast, which ultimately resulted in us coming up with new topics during the recording of the podcast. It also showed just how important it is to have the proper recording techniques such as recording on separate devices to catch everyone’s voices at the same volume and quality. The syncing and changing of the individual volume proved to be difficult, however after trial and error we managed to complete it a high standard.
Podcasts are continually growing in popularity, as it is becoming easier and easier for people to listen to, this can be through YouTube, Apple Music or even Spotify and can be listened to at home or on the move. Sporting Organisations are able to use podcasts as a way or growth and increased business performance as their podcast can involve topics that fans are wanting to listen to. This can be topics such as news, game reviews, player interviews and just general conversation. Hennig (2017), tells us that in America the amount of people since 2008 who have listened to a podcast before has doubled. This shows that podcasts are still growing the use of a podcast in a sporting organisation is a great way for them to engage fans even more and keep them up to date with everyone involved in the organisation.

Week 2 - Interactive Article
This task allowed me to learn how websites and articles are designed and what tools website creators use to hook people into not only viewing their website but viewing the entirely of it. The skills used in this task such as learning how to space, where to put media imports such as photos and videos, and how much text to put in sections were all learned throughout this task. My first attempt involved including a picture at the top and a picture at the bottom, with all the text in between, after some feedback I corrected my actions into what I think is I great set out for an article to be read.
Having an efficient and simple website for Sporting organisations is extremely important. This can be as it can allow fans to be able to easily view everything related to the club such as news, scores and merchandise. The use of spacing and location of tabs and photos is important for the way fans are able to see and be engaged into what the sporting organisation are trying to get across. (Pascoe et al., 2017) explains that features such as aesthetics can be the most important part of website when engaging people to continue using certain websites. If the fans are happy and find it easy to use, along the sporting organisations website being able to sell their products within the website it may create people to possibly start to invest in the organisation with purchases such as memberships and merchandise.
