Week 10 – Edit your video interview down to 90 seconds adding relevant lower third graphics and video overlay. Re-encode the same video ready for sharing on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
https://youtu.be/Y6AaHwRCLPg
Critical Analysis
In the sports industry, fans want to see the picture of their favourite teams, Great video editing can get fans into the video and gain attention all over the sports industry. This week’s activity, we had a chance to edit what we directed last week. We used Adobe Premier Pro, which is great start for people who want to learn or start editing videos in the sports industry (Berry, 2018). We added video transitions and effects like fading to black with the name of the person being interviewed. This smoothens the transition of the video without getting distracted like removing the name right away after it is shown (Mcgregor, 2021). We were able to match the two videos and change the views from both camera angles. This can show what the videos is shown in a different perspective and still look good (Siegchrist, 2020).
Film editing is part of the process of making a great video for the audience (Masterclass staff, 2021), which can help the sports organisation in a business perspective. For example, hype videos to get the fans pump before every game and showing it on their social media accounts. This will get views, likes, and gain more social media followers, and the market of the sports organisation.

Week 9 – Film a two-camera video interview with a classmate about their favourite athlete, sporting club or league, considering framing, composition, exposure, sound and natural lighting
https://youtu.be/W9iVbfimjDI - View 1
https://youtu.be/0j_oX9N_SxE - View 2
Critical Analysis
In this week’s activity, we had to direct a two-camera interview of our classmates. The interview is about anything in sport. We each took turns on who is going to direct and interview, and who is going to use their phones to take the video. Each director had to see what camera shot type they wanted and there were a lot of video camera shot types they can do like extreme close up, close up, medium close up, mid shot, wide shot, very wide shot, and extreme wide shot (San Filippo, 2019). With technology evolving, phones do the same thing as other cameras (Heimann et al., 2019). I was able direct the wide shot and mid shot in different angles, and it felt like you were a director in a movie production, which the directors in real life do with the angles they want to shoot (Lannom, 2020).
The purpose of this for a sporting organisation is to get great picture or video to show to the audience, so they can see a good angle of what is happening in a game. This can create a story or narrative when we look back at the video and fans begin to discuss about it (Sarria, 2015).

Week 5 Design a marketing graphic to be shared on social media for a sporting organisation of your choice

Critical Analysis
Marketing and design are part of a daily routine in a business organisation, and they are for the customers and about customers (Henseler et al., 2021). In this week’s activity, we had to design a marketing graphic that can be shared on social media from any sports organisation. Creating a marketing design can create the brand identity of the sports organisation (Tenekedjieva, 2021). The marketing graphic of a sports organisation must persuade consumers to make the organisation’s graphic long term (Hollerup, 2017). We used Adobe Photoshop to edit pictures online to create our marketing design, then we transferred it to Canva so it will easier editing with the colours and lettering. I chose the Los Angeles Lakers starting five roster and made a graphic design in calling them the “Old Geezers” because of their age. But the graphic design had to have balance, hierarchy, contras, repetition, or alignment. We also had to customise the typography like lettering, typeface design and typesetting. Marketing design has been evolving in sports which makes fans get into it (Henseler & Guerreiro, 2020). Fans are taking advantage of graphic design when a game is about to start and end. They create funny graphic design or memes to get attention to people on social media to gain the likes and views.

Week 4 – Edit and render a mixed podcast, with music, effects and audio grabs, ready for distribution
https://soundcloud.com/user-151456153-789084290/hustle-podcast?utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing
Critical Analysis
For this week’s activity, we had to edit our podcast by adding music, effects, and any other audio transitions. After we recorded our voices on Motiv Audio last week, we combined two separate audio recordings and edited them in Adobe Audition, which is a great software for audio and voice editing. We knew how to fix our voices by lowering the decibel scale (dB) to make sound less background voice and lowering the hard bass voice.
Podcasting has now become a business and we see different companies invest podcasting like the most popular companies Apple and Spotify. Sports organisations can distribute their podcast content to different podcasts companies to gain attention and revenue (Copeland, & McGregor, 2021).
Developing a sports podcast for fans can be a business. They just need some podcasting equipment like microphones and cameras to invest it and learn them, with great video and audio editing (McLean, 2021). Finding the perfect audio software like Adobe Audition can help listeners get great sound quality and gain more attention from them (Riverside.fm team, 2022). Fans can listen to favourite sports podcasts anytime and anywhere to gain a perspective on what the people are talking about without the breaks or commercials (Frary, 2017).

Week 3 – Deliver audio recordings for a podcast, focusing on clean sound, strong and confident vocal performance and engaging dialogue
https://soundcloud.com/user-151456153-789084290/sets/podcast-practice
Critical Analysis
For this week’s activity, we were learning how listening to audio has changed over the past from radio to now podcast, and we were able to create our own podcast by downloading and recording our voices in an application called Motiv Audio. We were using this application to record our voice with 2 people separately with no background noises to distract the podcast.
Podcasting has now become a business and sports organisations have invested in podcasting to engage with other organisations (Palenque, 2016). People use podcast for several reasons like developing themselves and gaining more knowledge in certain topics they like (Podshop, 2022). It is combination of radio and broadcasting, but this can happen at any time and anywhere with just a phone or computer (Palenque, 2016). Sports organisations can use this advantage to gain more fans and revenue by giving them behind the scenes within the sports organisation.
Creating a podcast is a great way to produce your own show that is far more than just an audio sound (Gray, 2022). Fans can be interested in creating their own sports podcast that can become business for themselves. A sports podcast can help sports enthusiast get different perspectives from others (Tobin & Guadagno, 2022).

Week 2 – Produce an interactive article (with embedded images, audio and video) about your favourite sporting organisation/athlete/team
https://davins1.sg-host.com/flores-files-federal-lawsuit-alleges-racial-discrimination/
Critical Analysis
Our week 2 activity, we had to create design our blog in WordPress. It is a great place for creating websites, content or blogs for your brand or company, and free of use. We were able to post photos, videos, and creating external links from any other website because there is no copyright from getting in another source (Yoast, 2021). We were able to learn what SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is, which is the title of the content and people can search for it (Yoast, 2021). WordPress can be used for sporting organisation or even grassroot sporting club. They can design and create news for their club to those who are interested can engage with them (Gunawan et al., 2019), like the community around where the club plays at. It gets also help them get sponsors, if they want to work with a grassroot sports, they usually look at their website and help promote the sponsor. This can help boost their performance from a business perspective. Using WordPress is one of the easiest places to create a website for the fan experience (Garett, 2016). Creating a lot of videos, animations and external links can help get attention to the fans who go to the website and engage with it.
