Honestly lowkey dont get people who interpret kris as evil esp after chap 3+4 bc they care so much about their friends... they do everything in their power to stop our commands that would hurt their friends going as far as self harm and when you get your way they get so incredibly upset and miserable

their affection is so blatant you cant even call it subtext anymore when the dialogues and cutscenes literally show how much love they have for their friends and how much they care

obviously they are involved in some nefarious plot with whatever the fuck is going on with the knight and carol and asgore and dess but i feel like they are in this because they care about dess and thats exactly going to be their point on conflict in later chapters when the two opposing parties inevitably clash

remembered that off remaster is coming out soon... replaying the original to get excited :D this game was one of my favorites growing up so im really looking forward to revisiting it ^_*

started playing outer wilds but its not really clicking for me. wish i knew what it was? im just not having a great time - its not horrible just . really really slow and there are way less objectives i guess than what i'm used to in an exploration game. i've been taking it a planet at a time until i feel like i've hit a limit with new discoveries, but really i have no way of gauging how much progress? im making or what i'm even doing. like i know i AM making progress cause the narrative is sticking out to me a little more as i find more stuff i'm just not sure what the hell i'm working towards.... i'm tempted to put it on the back burner and play something new in the meantime, but i'm scared to put it down and never pick it back up :"D

beat mouthwashing. yeo wtf. i went in fully blind aside from knowing about anya and. DID NOT EXPECT. HALF OF THAT. also the latter bit was so scary oh my god😭

beat signalis. have mixed opinions but liked it overall. fun game at the very least! very gorgeous art direction.

playing signalis for the first time and enjoying my time with it! first thoughts under read more ^_^

expected it to be more horror? than it feels like currently, but also i'm finally getting to a point where it feels like it'll be ramping up soon, so i'm excited. truthfully that also makes me nervous cause i'm. a bit of a scaredy cat. but the visuals are really gorgeous, so i'm enjoying the environment a lot regardless.

i do kinda wish the horror was more... overt? i guess? the monsters aren't that scary, only the like cone-head thing really unsettles me so far, so most of my overall fear of the game comes from like a surprise monster that i don't see spawn, but even then the jump isn't very intense and they don't all work.

inventory management is also a bit. irritating atm in that they've given me so many things to collect and carry (especially in the current flesh pit questing area) and it's a slog to backtrack through especially cause my map is gone and with the inverted room directions my sense of direction is awful. plus it's like three floors vertically... just so much to keep track of.

the puzzles have been mostly ok, as in not too hard to grasp, but also some feel a little obtuse? i dont think im stupid lol but some of these have really gotten me Stuck. some are really well designed though like fixing the cassette and realizing the android had a speaker in her arms to play the radio transmission to... or the beauty and the beast speaker asking you to intuit that you can transmit audio into the receiver and subsequently giving you the door passwords depending on which station you play. aughhh sooo good. have had some really really amazing moments from it as a result.

the story is also super vague and hard to entirely piece together, but from how much worldbuilding exists it's like. i know there is a story here that is cohesive im just not. sure if i have all the pieces yet? i feel like i dont entirely have a grasp on what's going on or where i Even Am but i can't tell if that's intended, my fault, or a fault of the game. excited to play more though i'm having fun even if it asks me to think a lot while i do. i've never actually played a resident evil game myself (he who has watched many a playthrough) so while it's very reminiscent of it, it's still my first real foray into a survival horror game. it's a good one i think. really cool.
