Chill & Casual Overwatch Discord Server anyone?

Cuz I recently started playing Overwatch, I want people to talk about it with, only I’m really chill and casual about it and I don’t have much interest in comp, nor any hating on characters? I just love everyone honestly and don’t care about wanting anyone to be nerfed, I just want to shower a lot of the characters with love.

So, I made my own discord server for this! It’s gonna be very chill and casual with lots of helpful stuff for beginners and such. Plus it’s also fanfic and oc friendly! It’s actually encouraged to talk about any stories or ocs you have, I won’t judge! Even if I have my own ships, I’m very relaxed and chill when it comes to ships, so no ship wars as that’s against the rules!

All in all, it’s gonna be a safe cosy place to hang out and talk and gush over the game ^^ Voice chat is not required in the slightest while grouping up though it is an option if you are comfortable with it.

However, to prevent trolls and the like, I’m gonna ask that you either reply to this post or DM me for a link, I just want to be careful so we don’t deal with trolls or jerks trying to ruin the fun.

How do I politely tell my reviewers I don’t feel comfortable writing for this one ship (which so happens to be gay) over my OTP (which happens to be het.) They accused me of homophobia both on my ao3 account and on my Tumblr. No matter what I say (“oh, I don’t like their chemistry. I don’t like how they treat each other. I don’t like how rude they are to each other”) they just keep calling me homophobic. I don’t like constant arguing in my ship. How can I make them see that?

Not shipping something isn’t homophobic. It’s not shipping something. There’s lots of ships out there of all sorts of orientations that I just can’t get interested enough in to write about. That’s kind of how shipping works. 

Sometimes you see two (or more) people and you just think “Yes. I want them to be together.”  Sometimes you look and them and thing, “Sure, why not?” And still other times you look at them and think, “Ugh. Please no?”

If they haven’t realized that yet, then I don’t think they’re going to. Turn off anon asks. Moderate your comments. Delete anything that comes in and stop feeding the trolls. They’re just going to keep harrassing you until you make it impossible for them to do so.

And if things escalate, remember that you can report them for harassment depending on the site they’re on and the terms of service.
