you know that scene when knox comes back from dinner with the danburrys and says something along the lines of “i met the most wonderful girl but she’s dating an asshole” and then pitts says “yeah, all the good girls go for jerks”?? now i don’t think that there are any redeeming qualities/actions for knox in this film, but as i love pitts (and feel bad for the criminally miniscule amount of screen time he gets), i like to think that he’s just repeating what he’s seen in 40s teen movies because i am willing to bet my life on the fact that he’s probably never talked to a girl in his life at that point, and he just wants to be the hype man that cheers up all his friends

so basically he’s just confused but he’s got the spirit (and doesn’t understand how that phrase is misogynistic) (???)

idk i’m just trying so hard to limit the amount of misogyny in this film as much as possible-
