80mm Wave Curtains with Mimas Fern

80MM Wave Curtains, Mimas Fern Fabric and Heavy-Duty Wave Track  

In this recent project, the customer had contacted us looking for a Wave Curtain and track for his lounge. The lounge consisted of two floor to ceiling height double glass doors with a wall in the center. The customer was keen to find a solution where he could have the required privacy but not obstruct the glass doors and light when the curtains were left open.  We decided to opt for one ceiling mounted wave track and one single curtain so the stack could be pulled into the middle when not in use.   The customer looked at a range of fabric samples and decided to opt for a shade of green, we went through the various options within this colour scheme, and the customer narrowed it down to Fern in our Mimas range.  This is a contemporary and vibrant colour that really compliments the space. They also decided to use the blackout fleece acoustic lining to help reduce any external noise and help keep the warmth in.   The customer was very pleased with the overall finish of the Wave curtains and track and found a nifty solution for us to share with you all. School Assembly Hall Curtains

School Hall Curtains - Bristol

Our client is a medium sizes primary school in the centre of Bristol. The school approached Direct Fabrics after a recommendation from another school in the area. Direct Fabrics were asked to supply and install new made to measure long length curtains for the school hall. The hall had been freshly painted and the old curtains removed. The colours were neutral tones with off whites and greys. It was decided by the mangerial team that the curtains should be made with a flame retardant curtain material that was plain and economical in cost. From the brief Direct Fabrics chose the mimas range due to its quality and excellent price point. The hall is used for various assemblies and functions using a large projector. So to be able to darken the room the dark graphite dimout fabric was lined with a blackout lining. This enhanced the thermal effected of the old windows and also provides a blackout. Room Divider Curtains for Dance Studio

The client contacted Direct Fabrics looking for room divider curtains for a dance studio in the UK. They have a lot of large open spaces with wooden floors. These open spaces are acoustically very poor with a lot of reverberation. This means that the space produces lots of echoes and leads to the rooms becoming very difficult to teach in.   Work Requested To supply an acoustic room divider curtain and associated track to separate two sides of a newly refurbished dance school studio to allow two classes to work simultaneously and reduce echo in the area. The curtain needed to conform to BS Fire Retardant standards. The width of the curtain was 9 metres with a drop of 260cm necessitating the use of a Heavy Duty track capable of carrying the weight of the curtain fabric and acoustic fleece lining. Introduction to the Client A beautiful village hall that is at the heart of the community in the village where Direct Fabrics are located. Direct Fabrics were approached to supply and install flame retardant curtains for the village hall stage. The original stage curtains were old and ripped on an old metal track.  The hall was built in 1910 and the present curtains must be at least 30 years plus old.   Requirements for Project Stage Curtains Corded Top Fix Track Upholstered Pelmet   Product Chosen Curtains   Acoustic Herringbone Stage Curtains Track Heavy Duty Stage Curtain Track   Process After presenting the trustees with a range of samples it was decided to use the acoustic absorption material as the open-plan space was vast and any acoustic benefit would be greatly beneficial to reduce the reverberation around the space. Also, a new track was chosen that could be installed into the wooden frame around the top of the stage. This allowed for a strong fixing to hold the weight of the lined acoustic curtains. The pelmet boards were manufactured with a lightweight essex board and velcro attached to the top of the stage to allow for easy attaching of the upholstered pelmet.   Conclusion A stunning pair of the curtain in a decadent teal colour.
