Hi! I stumbled across your blog and was just blown away by your art! I was wondering how you render fabric so well? Everything has such tangible volume, shape, and texture, and yet nothing seems super line-heavy or scribbly with a ton of detail.

First, thanks. Mighty fine of you to be blown away.  As far as fabrics and such there are FAR superior artists to watch and learn from.  I used to think I was the artist that had to learn everything about art.  Fabrics, drapery, color lighting, and just needed to have it all down.  I’ve come to realize that I am actually a designer and idea guy and not a straight up illustrator.  To me that means that much of my rules and painting thoughts revolve around getting the idea across as that’s the most important aspect and then I move on.  The thoughts and ideas rule over technique and know how.  So take this quick step by step break down and dirty lightly.  A means to an end. 

Other artists do it perfectly, immaculately and makes me weep.  I’m just not that type of artist, but here’s how I normally do the approach….

How do you (“how does one”) shop for a therapist?

Can you call up a therapist and be like “hi, I’m therapist shopping”? Can you schedule an appointment with a therapist and then be like “actually I have some questions and I want to spend part of this appointment talking about your practice and whether or not it is garbage?”? Are you expected to phone interview/screen your therapists if you are shopping around for a therapist?

If you’re seeing one therapist are you supposed to/not supposed to tell them if you start seeing another therapist? Is it possible to cheat on your therapist?

We’re Ivalice YorHa with Salad! I’m Salad

I set this up 2 years ago to ease beginners into the newest alliance raid content without being nervous about running into duty finder negativity. We ran Rabanastre, Ridorana and Orbonne together for at least 10 weeks each. 

Since then, we’ve grown into a fun-loving group who approaches the latest 24-man raids with a relaxed attitude every week. We’re a pool of 70+ people who hop in together when we can. This is less of a ‘static’ and more of a chill group. It’s obligation-free and an open invite to anyone interested.

There are regulars and familiar faces that show up every other week, but…  anyone! If you’re reading this, then why not? If you’re new to the game, or you’ve never tried an alliance raid, you’re absolutely welcome. If you’re just looking to relax and want a shot at your weekly drop, join us! Spots are first come first serve. The PF for it opens up pretty much on the dot. We’re more popular in the first few weeks but it gets much easier to get into the party eventually.

We have a discord channel! It’s not really for socializing and is used more for announcements. Once a week, I announce the time & password for the next run, then people just pop in. Voice chat and everything is entirely optional. Eventually, we’ll have a Fellowship so I can post times there too.
