Thank you so, so, so much for everyone who has been in communication with me about having a piece (or pieces!) made this round of customs! I could write a whole long novel on why this particular list feels so affirming after some really long trying months (even before the injury) but being reminded that so many of you are still out there and feel pulled to the magic of collaboration, adornment for healing and as talismans of love, and intentional and unique, one of a kind creations, with a story, and that you feel pulled to have me make them for you, is *huge*. I am so endlessly grateful to be a vessel for this work. I only have a couple places left on this list. There’s something so exciting, and affirming, for me when an in person customs consult requires me to go running back to my room a few times to go grab more of my own personal everyday swamp armor to show examples of what sort of pieces can be made. I’ve been leaning heavier into making more and more alligator and swamp worship pieces these last couple years because it’s what fills MY cup most, and I’m hoping y’all feel the same, and eventually it finds the eyes of those who also will resonate with these talismans. Edged with handmade sterling silver ball details. And even some subtle stamping that blends into the dark contrasted black background for added allure. I wanted to make these pieces more modern and to my personal aesthetic - so I’ve made them deep enough to be meant for a denim jacket/or vest, but can still comfortably be worn on a pearl snap or dress shirt. ⚜️Happy New Orleans New Year ⚜️ We’ve made it to the other side! This Carnivale season I dressed in a series of colors (I’ll share those in my stories for anyone curious!), leading up to the big day, where I reflected all of the colors!! 🪩🌈✨ I wanted to be able to be a mirror for everyone on their day of ultimate release/renewal, to see and catch your energy and then reflect it shimmering back out for all of us to laugh and dance and be dazzled by from early morning to late night, under the bridge, along the river bank, even in the Wagner’s parking lot 😉 It was such a wonderful time (hopefully I’ll take a minute to snip together some highlights of it soon!), and I just love you all so much and can’t wait to see what light you shine this next year! 🪩💛✨I’m *still* cleaning up all of the creative mess on every surface of the house (since there was well over 10 people changing here every day over the course of the last week plus), and then I have a Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries course I am taking over the weekend - and then, Monday, I will be back to the bench!!
