omg. This person who ranted is literally my thoughts exactly. I'm so happy someone else is talking about it. I don't even like yin x yang, I'm just tired of people spreading misinformation. 'They literally called eachother brothers' I've been obsessing over yinyang Chronically for a Literal entire year. And watch the episodes with them in it on the weekly if anyone would know that I would.

And I've always thought dumbing down Yinyang/infantizing them. Is really gross? Especially if people are just using it so they can make candle like... Yin-Yang's mom? Like their therapist?! Seriously?! I feel like infantizing them destroys a key aspect of how Their mental instability is portrayed. How their mental instability leads to them being easily tricked, and unable to catch on to basic things go due their blantent mental illness. And I personally feel dumbing them down to 'owo SilverCandle and their autistic child' is really disheartening and gross to me. Especially as someone who thinks Yin-Yang's Childishness and immaturity is really Endearing and someone (like myself) with mental illness finds relatable, and it's set up in a way that in Canon of the show doesn't infantize yinyang in the text of the show.

I HATE HATE HAAAATE PEOPLE WHO INIST YIN AND YANG ARE CANONLY SIBLINGS… note the emphasis on canonly. i do not think its bad at all to interpret / hc / solidify in ur own au or smth that theyre siblings, but dear god stop saying its canon!!!!

the closest to ‘confirmed’ / ‘canon’ anyone gets for that is one tweet brian made where he said it is REASONABLE to see them as brothers. REASONABLE. not “yes, they are” or “it is canon theyre siblings” but that it is a reasonable interpretation

im not even someone who ships them together btw !!! im just a huge yin-yang fan and hate when people push their own ideas as canon !!!! this also applies to people who insist yin-yang are underage just because they act ‘childish’ like man its an object show that started as some tweens passion project, EVERYONE is gonna be a little childish/silly at some point, you cant just use that as ‘proof’ that characters are minors. especially with II characters, with them all being generated by melife, they dont really have ages!!!

I absolutely live them, Silverspoon and Fan would be the worst wingmen ever. But they would sure try, or atleast kinda. Silver would try to cause drama, or try to get attention. And Fan would type A LITTLE too loudly, adding Testtube and Cabby's relationship statis to his blog.
