A comic I made specifically to fulfill my own need for catharsis

short quilled sonic but it’s angsty (also can you tell I like parental figure Ivo, because I do)

We never really see him use his quills for defense but he IS a hedgehog so what if a villain got irritated at him for defending himself that way and ripped them out (yes, I’m having bad a day). I was thinking it would fit my au, but it’s sad enough as it is.

Because the way they all gently took care of Sonic, when he was weak, has A BIG grip on me. I know they’re from different dimensions, but even if it’s just symbolic: The way the people he protects on daily basis, who said plenty of times he inspires them, didn’t even hesitate to take care of him and save him… I am not normal about this.

Actually in general I love how gentle Sonic's friends were with him while he was fading away. he deserves it at this point

He's spent this whole show fighting and protecting everyone, giving everything he has at every turn to the point of exhaustion. And when he's finally given all that he can, when he can't go any further on his own, his friends get to give back by easing that burden and carrying him to the finish line.

I just. that hedgehog is so loved. this was his darkest hour, and he didn't have to spend a second of it alone. peak storytelling right here

I love them so much! What amazes me most about the Sonic and Tails story is that Sonic was a kid himself when he decided to take on such responsibility. And I'm sure Sonic had to change his lifestyle one way or another. But... where did Sonic get a DAMN PLANE???
