So I’ve ended up in a money situation where funds I was paid at the beginning of this year I assumed were related to royalties were deposited into my account and now I’ve been sent a threatening letter requesting a return of the funds by the 20th. The website the money went through is one I have used a handful of times to get paid for licensing my work in the past so it made sense it was related. No effort was made at any point to communicate with me about the funds being sent in error, until now nearly 5 months later. Even when there was a near month period between the invoice being marked as paid and the money getting deposited. I don’t know if this is some weird scam I got roped into or just a mistake that I’m now having to deal with but I am terrified and never dealt with something like this before. 

I hate to ask for help about this but it will deeply impact my funds for the year, especially since I’m on a hiatus for my health and cannot take on more work that I already am without risking damage to my wrists, but if push comes to shove I will. I have donations open on my kofi and would appreciate any help

I think Guards Guards or Wyrd Sisters was my first book. My friend recommended discworld right before I went to Scotland for my study abroad and my first hostel stay had the book in their free library, so I traded my horrible Dan Brown book and then traveled through Discworld as traveled around the UK and Ireland. Vimes and the Watch is one of the best series I’ve ever read.

My first Discworld book was the Wee Free Men. I loved it, and read it over and over again. But since that was the only one my local library had, for the longest time I thought it was a standalone. Imagine my delight when, years later, I discovered the rest of this fantastic series.

The City Watch books in particular struck a note with me, and they’ve quickly become some of my all time favorites. So of course I had to draw this to celebrate.

Fletcher said five trucks of aid went into Gaza yesterday, but described this as a “drop in the ocean” and totally inadequate for the population’s needs. He said the aid lorries, which contain baby food and nutrition, are technically in Gaza but have not reached civilians as they are just on the other side of the border.

Five trucks had entered Gaza for the first time in 3 months. This compares to 500 trucks every day before October 2023. There are miles of loaded trucks that Israel continue to block from entering besieged Gaza.

Make no mistake, Israel is using starvation as a weapon of war against 2 million people.

When I came across this horrific headline, I immediately thought of my friend @amalashournew, who is trapped in Gaza and has been navigating this genocide with her toddler. Yesterday someone stole my tattooing equipment. My entire livelihood, my ability to earn money, thousands of euros gone in the span of a single night. Not having burglary insurance, I will not be getting any compensation and I am just. Desperate.
