#this would almost halfway save tristeva for me.#the problem with tristeva has always been that it Smacks of Gender. really that's the problem with wakfu in total#man gets to do cool things and save the world; woman loses identity save for wife and mother; this is portrayed as Natural#ok maybe tristepin being a butch wouldn't save it all but it'd save some of it!#and I was talking about transfem butch tristepin as early as 2014 but nobody saw the vision. smh

Ciel Nosurge English Fan Translation Now Available
A group of Ar Tonelico fans within the 'A Reyvateil’s Melody’ community have announced that after eight years of work, alongside delays, their English fan translation patch of Ciel Nosurge is now available for PlayStation Vita
Fans can now enjoy this game with English language support, including dialogue, videos, and images. The team also confirmed that they made this version of the tile compatible with Vita3K on PC.
Further, there are new features like a glossary and Offline Linking “to get all the features from Ar nosurge without the hassle to perform the procedure with the Japanese version of the game.”
All Ion’s voicemails originally from the official site and an alternative Sharl creation system which doesn’t need the embedded camera of the PS Vita have been backported from the DX version too.

Ciel Nosurge was initially released with just its first episode before additional episodes were released as DLC. Then, multiple versions were released, with twelve episodes in total categorized into three story arcs. Further, an offline version of the game was released in 2014, and a remaster, Ciel nosurge DX, was released exclusively in Japan for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
In the title, players communicate with an amnesiac girl from another dimension, Ion, who is next in line to be the emperor of her world. Players can also romance her gradually across several interactions. The direct sequel, Ar Nosurge, was later released and even localized on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita despite Ciel Nosurge never leaving Japan. These two titles are also set in the same universe as the Ar Tonelico series.
You can view more details and download links for the Ciel Nosurge English fan translation via its dedicated forum post.

As public schools across the country increasingly face budget shortfalls, educators like Patricia Harper, a fifth-grade teacher in Baltimore, have reportedly found it more necessary than ever to provide their own salaries. “I’m committed to coming into this classroom every day and helping my students learn, but in order to do this, I’m now required to dip into my own pocket to cover my annual income,” said the 10-year veteran of Baltimore City Public Schools, a district with more than 5,000 teachers who together would need to come up with an estimated $340 million to meet their annual salary requirements.

if you are someone who has posted something like, "I ate [listeria contaminated food] last night and am fine so I should be good"
or about any other foodborne illness that can take way more than a day to cause illness
I am absolutely not angry but please know that you scare the shit out of me every single time. please stop doing that. if you want to talk about being "fine" after eating something I am begging you to at least look up the range of how quickly exposure causes symptoms first. because other people might assume that you actually already did.
do not just assume foodborne illness all kicks in within a day and please do not even imply that to other people.
#i've had salmonella from recalled food#i've had e coli from recalled food#you don't want either. you do not want either of these things.#it might give you cool points the day after you eat it. sure.#you will not care about the cool points when you are projectile vomiting and shitting rivers of blood simultaneously

you are 16. you are talking with a gay man in his 50s or 60s, a friend, huge and gentle with a scarf and short fluffy curls of gray hair, who has directed you in two plays staged in your mid-size artsy town. (he has not yet asked you to be in his production of The Laramie Project which will change your life. this conversation will also change your life.)
he is talking about theatre. he is talking about theatre when he was younger. he says, "of course, it was AIDS then." in the pause, you ask him. clumsy and quiet and 16 and "straight," you ask him. what was it like.
he takes a moment in which his face is not like a person's face. "there was a time," he says, "i'm not sure how long, years. when i went to a funeral every weekend." he tells you about two funerals in a day, and choosing between friends when you couldn't make it to both. he does not look at you, he looks at them. his wet grey gaze is so clear that you start to see ghosts. it will be years before you understand why it feels like your grief too. why the ghosts call you family.
