Just a reminder that you don’t have to LOVE abortion to recognize that eliminating legal access to it WON’T stop abortions from happening. It will just stop SAFE abortions from happening.

I hate the idea of abortion. I truly pray that no one will ever have to make the decision to abort their baby. And I hope that if someone finds themselves in that situation, that they have the supports and resources needed to choose to not have one.

But not recognizing that we live in a messy, fallen world where things like abortion exist, and loving people through it anyways, is not very Christlike. Shunning people who make a decision that YOU wouldn’t make is not very Christlike. Judging people for making a decision that you wouldn’t make is not very Christlike. Ignoring the harsh conditions of this world that cause people to have to make the heartbreaking decision of getting an abortion is not very Christlike. Instead of focusing your energy into supporting abortion being banned, focus your energy into rallying behind marginalized communities and people who don’t have access to childcare resources and calling on politicians to make raising a family more accessible to everyone.

Trust me my brothers and sisters in Christ, I DO NOT like abortion. But please think through the consequences of it being criminalized. Think about all the people that you would lose out on the chance of loving and displaying the character of Christ to through showing such coldness and judgment instead of love.

Pls take the time to pray and think about what I’ve said before responding in any sort haste. I’m always open to talking to people but not if responses are written in a judgmental, condescending tone. Thanks friends. 🙏🏻

Overall, abortion is wrong- yet a necessary evil if the fetus is killing the mother, or the fetus literally cannot survive. Abortion is murder, and can easily be used to further eugenics towards the disabled and people of color.

(Non-controversial but:) I do acknowledge the dark side of adoption, and am repulsed by "a domestic supply of infants".
