“So…did Reg tell you?” Barty asked Evan a bit nervously as he sat, legs crossed, facing him on his bed, their third-year dorm completely quiet.

“Yeah,” Evan murmured back with an odd lock on his face, looking to make sure the curtains were securely closed, his silencing charms intact. He swallowed thickly and blinked several times, as if trying to digest the information. “He really likes blokes, then.”

“Yeah,” Barty nodded, trying to decide if it was weird to look his best friend in the eye when they discussed such matters. He opted instead to focus on his own fingers as he picked at a loose thread on the blanket. “Erm…did you…did you know? That you could…?” He felt his face heat and his skin felt too loose and too tight all at the same time. It was so hot and so cold all at once.

“That boys could…erm…be attracted to boys? I’d,” he cleared his throat, “…heard of it, yeah….” Evan answered vaguely, shifting his weight and sniffing.

“Same. But my father…” Barty trailed off, imagining how his father would feel if he ever dated a boy. Not that he would, of course. 

“Same,” Evan nodded, finally meeting his eyes.

“But we support Reg, right?” Barty clarified nervously. For some reason, it seemed extra-important to know that Evan would be okay having queer friends. 

“Oh. ‘Course,” Evan nodded, giving him a small smile. “He’s fine. I mean, I’d even be okay if…if…”

“If what?” Barty asked rather sharply.

“If you were queer. You know. If you wanted to be,” Evan shrugged, giving him a nonchalant look.

“I’m not,” he answered quickly, frowning. “I…y’know…I can’t be, anyway. But I’d be okay with you if you were, too. Like that’d be cool. You know?”

“Yeah. ‘Course. Even if we both were.”

Barty nodded eagerly, not really sure why.

They sat awkwardly for a bit longer, eyes flickering up toward each other and flitting away, before Barty faked a yawn. “Alright, well…good talk, Rosie. Off to bed, then.”

I adore this recent trend (if that's the right word) of letting an orchestra play classical music on a festival. It's magical to see thousands of festival-goers going absolutely wild on Beethoven. Mosh/circlepits, crowd surfing. It's wonderful to see the orchestra and the audience having the time of their lives.

season 1: I'm Jonathan Sims, Head Archivist of Magnus Institute, London. My professional opinion is that this is all horseshit and everyone that isn't me needs psychiatric help. Statement ends.

season 2: Supplemental: God lives inside the printer and he keeps telling me my assistants are murderers. I am inclined to believe him based on the fact that Martin told to have a nice day. Innately suspicious behavior.

season 3: My only friends are my ex-girlfriend, her cat, and the many scars I've gotten from various monsters and fear cultists.

season 4: You know, just being socially adept would solve a lot of my problems. Unfortunately, I was traumatized so thoroughly by age eight that I learned the best way to make friends is to blink at them slowly until they get the idea. This does not work when your evil patron god uses eyeballs to devour fear.

season 5: Either Jonah Magnus tells us where he took all the good cows, or my boyfriend and I bash his head in with a lead crowbar. It's his choice.

The Magic Mountain crew hasn’t finished turning the lake to mud

Cherry mountain isn’t a volcano yet

Even though Metro Mayhem is nearing completion, there are still more minigames to be finished

Etho just started building his rock shop/minigame

The fanart gallery isn't complete

The Jimmy and Martyn in Gem’s base haven’t turned into horrible sea monsters yet

Tango just began building the Tangler

We still don’t know who the ore snatcher is

Cub has to replace all his diamonds that mysteriously turned to prismarine and copper

Speaking of Cub, some skulk seems to have escaped his containment wall

Grian hasn’t gotten top score in hungry hermits yet

Most of Joel’s billboards are still blank

Mumbo’s hair isn’t fully white yet, nor is he a chicken

Keralis has to build a new base because Ren owns his
