Fic: Who am I to Disagree?
Title: Who am I to Disagree? Pairing: Genosai Length: ~1150 Rating, Warnings: Mature, None.
For my friend, @sai-pop. Prompt: “coming untouched.”
His heart thunders in his ears, his breath heaving, rasping out of his throat. The thrill races through him as he tumbles through the air, hits the dirt hard enough to carve a wide swath out of the ground as he bounces, once, twice, and comes to a halt some two hundred feet away.
It’s a real battle, what he’s been waiting for and it feels so good to hurt.
He wins in the end, of course, still too strong to be bested by any creature, no matter its origins, but the point is that he tried. He bled and sweat and pushed himself for the victory.
“Congratulations, Sensei,” Genos is saying, his voice like a far off sound, muffled somehow by the adrenaline still pounding through his veins, “That appeared to be a worthy opponent.”
“Yeah,” says Saitama and rubs a flat palm over his belly, suddenly aware that he is aching in a way that runs counter to the hurt in his muscles. Something aching a little lower, and he’s glad they’re alone, but sadder that he’s not alone, not all by himself so that he could flop down into the crater and push hands into his own suit.
