chapter two: i left you here (heard you keep the extra closet empty) by reyesdiaz on the archive
Tucked down a side-street on the fringes of the art district, overflowing with warm lighting and the steady background noise of a bass guitar, is a place that Tommy hasn’t been in a very long time, with people he used to know.
It's a fine romance, but it's left me so undone It's always darkest before the dawn — Shake It Out, Florence & The Machine

The tendency to mimic someone’s accent, speech patterns, or even gestures comes from something called the mirroring effect. It’s a subconscious way of connecting with others by reflecting their behavior on them. When we imitate someone’s tone, rhythm, or mannerisms, it’s like we’re saying, “I see you, and I’m with you.” (X)

left me so undone by reyesdiaz on the archive
Not long after Halloween, his relationship solidified and his friendships growing, Tommy starts coughing up flower petals; lilacs, and heliotropes. Signs of something he isn’t prepared to admit, of something broken between he and his boyfriend and the twisting realisation in his stomach drives him to break up with Evan. Because, after all– no amount of love he can give will ever make it reciprocated
It's a fine romance, but it's left me so undone It's always darkest before the dawn

If you're going to defend eddie's actions from 8x17, you are not welcome in this server. Survivors of abuse have made plenty of comments about how his behavior isn't okay (attached screenshots + this post) and if you're going to defend him, I don't want you in my space. This is supposed to be a safe place for everyone, and defending Eddie’s pattern of abusive behavior has no place here.
I don’t care if Eddie is your fave. If that’s your only reason for dismissing his actions as “Oh Tim is just on some bullshit,” I don’t trust you. Would you react the same way if this was Maddie and Chim? Hen and Karen? Buck and Tommy? You wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss this behavior as poor writing if it came from any other pairing, so why is it okay if it’s Buddie? What about if Buck was a woman, or a physically smaller character than Eddie?
Yes, the over-the-top violence has happened before when characters have been upset with each other, and yes, there is nuance to it, but the fact that I’ve seen people repeatedly handwaving away the fact that this scene triggered people is not okay. Like it or not, it did. Eddie's face was full of rage. The finger pointing, the element of danger attached to those few seconds that we DON'T normally get when 911 has their characters act violently. Those can be triggers to victims of abuse, and they were actually affected by it. That's why this is a problem.

#911 spoilers#tw abuse mention#I’m in my public crashout era because HOW ON EARTH can anyone defend this?#if you take issue with this post I think you need to step back and ask yourself why that is.
