“Well thank you. I sure would hate to lose you.” Keegan laughed, and moved closer to her. “Speaking of, what are you doing Friday night? We haven’t had a date in a while.”

trying to suppress her mused expression, she cut her gaze toward the other girl, “oh? are you attempting to talk yourself up now in hopes that i’ll change my mind?” her eyebrow arched upward, a dramatic sigh falling from her lips. “it’s too late, my emotions are already invested in another. you see, i’ve already fallen madly in love with that stranger over there. it would seem that the loss is yours.”

Luckily for all involved, Bris is less on the sober side than he probably should be too, and his mood is generally so positive at the moment that it’s difficult for anyone to bring it down. Besides, he’s not much for holding grudges over silly things, and he’s sidling right up as soon as he’s addressed. “Damn right I am. Maybe not to you personally, but I’m pretty sure there are people out there who dig looking at me. For some reason.” He tacks a smile onto that, genuine for whatever it’s worth. “Are you in a better mood today? I swear that look on your face the other week could’ve peeled paint.”

❝ i’m sure SOMEONE does, i’m glad you know that that someone isn’t me though. ❞ she cocked her head to the side, her fake smile didn’t cease to fade just yet. ❝ i think YOU would have to be the judge of that because in my opinion i’m great. i mean as for you, i can tell that you seem happy. ❞
