We know that Levant changed and feels guilty over all that he has done. But how did he get to that point/how did he go from being a sadistic Rais’ Man, to actually feeling bad over what he’s done? (Wasn’t around for when you had more of your DL ocs lore on instagram. So I am kinda lost admittedly)
sure!
the short is that ayda tortures him into guilt and remorse. it’s why half of his face/arm is burnt off.
the long: the levant before the outbreak wasn’t a murderer or a rapist. he wasn’t a great man, he was an addict with violent tendencies, but nothing like post outbreak levant. his pregnant fiancé, ariadne, leaving him just before the outbreak was the catalyst to his descent, and when there was a chance for chaos, he took it, as he had nothing else to live for. levant did most of the heinous things he did while he was working under rais while under the influence of specific drugs. it wasn’t a reasoning or excuse but it clouded all moral judgement. his assault on ayda (the MC of my story) was what started the downfall of his character. lots of other things happen in between that and his capture by her (my story is much longer, rais doesn’t die etc but that’s a whole other explanation), other crimes done by him that were equal if not worse, but it was ayda who ultimately changed him just as he had changed her. before his capture by her and 48, he did begin to have regrets- he was coming off of the drugs and was losing sense of purpose. ayda saw fit that he faced exactly what he had done, her words and mutilation of him cementing in him his wrongs. she left his fate up to him, although hardened and within her right to kill him. levant will always be too cowardly to take his own life, but he does carry on with the hope that he will somehow, some way be able to find redemption (his daughter).

This was a long time ago, but I remember you mentioning you played the last of us for the first time. Just wondering, what did you think of it?
OOOOOUUGHHHHH
i played the first one last year and just recently finished the second one. i was hooked from the start. the character dynamics between all of them are flawless. i think i especially loved the second one, i enjoyed seeing ellie grow into the hardened almost final girl and cried when i saw what became of abby in the end. upset that joel died so early into the second game… i put it down for a few days out of grief LOL
i loved ellie and joel. loved them. their slow burn gained trust of each other, joel becoming more and more fatherly… chefs kiss. they really did have me disliking abby in the first half but by the time i played as her, i definitely started getting invested in her. which, duh, was the point… whatever. i looveee tommy i love himMMM I LOVE HIM don’t be surprised if i make an oc for him eventually lol lmao
i really enjoyed the mechanics of it, the combat was smooth and easy to get used to. i’ve always favored 3rd person and the attention to detail was so great that it was even distracting at some points. i’m a looter with every game i play, so i loved being able to roam for a lot of the game and just.. gather supplies and ammo and collectibles.
i think my only qualm (and this is a me problem) is that i was constantly waiting for major faction antagonists to pop up. like a leader of the seraphites, or the rattlers, but we only ended up getting overall gang encounters. i liked when we were introduced to david in the first one, it felt satisfying to take down a leader. maybe i’m just spoiled with my fixations on games that have these antagonists/villains but i recognize TLOU is different, and i like that.
overall i plan on replaying them again soon. i have a feeling these will become games i revisit yearly, like far cry and red dead. i incessantly avoided spoilers for these games for over a decade because i never had a PS and figured eventually they’d come to PC and was so excited when they did. well worth the wait 10/10

Sooooo. Harper. Did she abandon Cas or raise her somehow? And if she did raise her , how was she as a mom?
cas was born a few months prior to the events of FC5. because she was born into the seed family, she was taken from harper almost immediately and raised in one of their bunkers. this never bothered harper as she never even wanted children anyway, but was blackmailed and threatened by john seed to keep her. so harper never met cas until the events of FCND when she had already become the judge.
she wouldn’t have been a good mom, given how she was raised herself and how that would have seeped into her own parenting. cas was raised by the cult in a more nurturing environment anyway. she was taken and “rescued” from the bunker though by other survivors once the nuclear fallout had settled and was also raised with care by those who took her. she was raised tough though, firearm and defense training. which is how she was able to be rush’s acting security captain.
so, to clarify, harper is cassidy’s mother, john seed is her father, joseph seed her uncle, and ethan seed her cousin

I'm really curious about Marcia's lore. Why would she be kept and hired as a contract killer instead of being sold since her parents didn't pay the ransom?
i’ll just unload while i’m at it lol ty for asking!
hoyt saw her as an asset. marcia was given an opportunity to work for the kingpin instead of being sold or killed as she is highly intelligent and attended excellent schooling- he figured selling her would be a waste if she’d be willing to cooperate. she learned quick to handle firearms. because of her PTSD from being kidnapped she is largely emotionally detached and has a lot of blackouts and dissociative experiences.
hoyt also holds the fact that he sold her best friend sonya (really the only person she cared about) off over her head, assuring her that she’s safe in the hands of her buyer (and would continue to if marcia played along) when in actuality she was killed by his men only a week or two after they were kidnapped. he uses it for a long time to string her along in several ways.
a little over two years into her “employment” she learns that sonya was long since dead and plans to kill hoyt. she gets very close but the plan is intercepted and she ultimately does get sold off by him.
