would anyone be interested in having fun events on WCUE (roblox game) as well? it would be casual, on a private server, etc. just curious to see!

Heya! Was wondering with you saying you're wrapping up lore, are the clans going to be the same as the old groups found on the tumblr? I was just curious as I was nosing through the tumblr and found the original groups posted!
yep! everything will still remain the same, i'm working on the website slowly but surely. i want everything to be done on the website including lore, territories, etc. it's SUPER tasking to do alone, but i'm getting it done! the discord server will take a bit longer as well, BUT the overall plan is:
finish the website
open tentative player applications and invite to discord server prior to finishing it. roleplays will be allowed but the official arc will not start until the server is finished and i have the high ranks filled!
finish the discord server
open to more players
close applications (if we reach the player cap) and begin ARC 1!

seems like more people would prefer a website with information — can do!
do you have a preference on website aesthetics?

poll!
as i continue to chip away at finishing lore, territories, etc., i wanted to see what would be the most useful and accessible for members. note: info will also be on discord, but i want an additional platform that can be viewed!

So if anyone is still interested in this, we will be undergoing a MAJOR rehaul. I will be the only one working on it as of now but it’ll most likely take me 2 ish months to finalize everything and complete documents.
Once finalized, I will open for player applications as well as staff / event team / high ranks / etc. I think I’ll cap the member count around 20-25 at first? But it’ll depend on interest.
The application process will be moved to Discord, not Google forums. I’ll make a website for information and possibly post some of it here as well.
Again, this will take quite some time. But if you’re interested, keep an eye out!

UPDATE 2.
Hello all - I'd like to personally apologize for such a delay on the server, with lack of updates/news.
As we worked on the server, we had quite a few staff members become busy with personal life (which is totally valid) and progress started to stagnate.
I would love to be able to start this server into something great. After much deliberation, however, I wanted to put a few needs/points before the server would be able to get completely up and going.
I am in need of 18+ active staff/moderators! Those who can help with events, accepting/denying characters, and organizing channels. I need people who can commit a decent amount of time in the beginning so things would be able to get up and running. PLEASE dm me if interested. (I would need around 5-7 staff members).
There is a chance that this server would become 16+ as opposed to 18+. I'm totally open to deliberation on this! I don't want the server being too big, but I worry that the 18+ demographic wouldn't attract enough people. We wanted to have around 40 people total (20 on launch slowly, 20 over time) - our member applications received were sitting around 8-10 people. If the new staff did not want this, this change would be thrown out - and the server would remain 18+. Any staff member is required to be 18+.
The Discord server is still a work in progress. Traditions and other important aspects are pretty set, but open to changes.
Please message me if you are interested in the roleplay (or helping with it); I would really love to make this a reality!

Do the cats have a form of asl?
Hello!
We are looking into adding a way for the cats to communicate without using verbal words via tail signals, ear signals, etc!

The Sky Runners
A lithe feline dashes from a burrow, their eyes widened on you. "I heard you from below," they explain, curiously tilting their head at you. "You're curious to hear more about us?" They ask excitedly. "Well, come on, then! I hope you're not afraid of the dark!"
Tumblr media
Common cat traits:
Lean and lithe: Lean and lithe bodies, built for speed and agility. Their slender frames allow them to move swiftly across their moorland territory.
Short fur: They typically have shorter fur, which reduces wind resistance and helps them stay cool while running. Their fur is usually smooth, often lying flat against their bodies.
Long legs: Gives them a distinctive, graceful appearance. These long legs contribute to their incredible speed and ability to cover large distances quickly.
Large ears: Large ears that provide excellent hearing, essential for detecting prey and potential threats in the open landscape.
Values and culture:
Independence and freedom: Values their freedom and independence. They enjoy the open spaces of the moor and often prefer running and exploring to staying in one place for too long.
Agility and speed: Fastest among the clans, known for their incredible speed and agility. They can outrun most predators and prey, making them exceptional hunters and messengers.
Navigation: One of the only clans to recognize constellations on sight, a Sky Runner only needs to look up to know exactly where they are. A seasoned Sky Runner has memorized their territory using their mental map and knowledge of the seasons, and can find their way home no matter how lost they may become in their travels.
Following the stars: The stars hold many hidden messages and are an important part of the Sky Runner’s belief system. The stars guide their movements and decisions within the group, and they often look to them for guidance.
Traditions:
Wind Run: Once per cycle (3 months), the Runners holds the Wind Run–a race across their territory to celebrate their speed and agility. It serves as a test of skill and endurance, with the winner earning respect and admiration.
Star Watching: Cats of all ages will come out to observe the stars under the open sky. This strengthens their bond with their ancestors, and reinforces their connection to the vast moorland and the freedom it represents.
Seasonal Migration: With changing seasons, the Runners adjust their group’s primary camp. This optimizes hunting grounds and resource availability, and demonstrates their flexibility and strategic planning.
Tunnel Days: Often, the Runners will have a day dedicated to maintaining and expanding the clan’s tunnel system. All members participate in cleaning and reinforcing the tunnels. The younger cats are taught the importance of the tunnels.
The Moor Challenges: Rite of passage for the Runner’s apprentices, testing their skills and readiness to move onto their adult ranks. This trial embodies speed, agility, and independence. it involves running the moors at night, avoiding obstacles and potential threats–as well as navigating the tunnels. There may be additional challenges depending on which rank the apprentice is becoming.
Tumblr media
Strengths:
Speed and endurance: Renowned for exceptional speed and endurance, making them fast runners.
Independent thinkers: Values independence, known for their ability to think and act autonomously. They make decisions swiftly and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
Versatility: Highly versatile to the ever-changing weather and terrain of the moor. They adjust their hunting techniques and  migration routes according to the seasonal variations.
Keen senses: Possess sharp senses, particularly keen eyesight and hearing, which help them to detect prey and predators. They are also able to detect intruders from afar on the open moorland.
Tunnel system: The Runners have an intricate tunnel system that serves as their primary living quarters. These tunnels provide the clan with protection from most elements and rival clans.
Weaknesses:
Reliance on the tunnels: Their reliance on the tunnels can leave them vulnerable to the elements or rivals if they are unable to take refuge inside of them.
Lack of stealth: Reliance on speed and agility can sometimes overshadow their ability to move quietly and stealthily. This may make them more easily detected by wary prey or enemies during hunts or patrols.
Weather risks: Their habitat on the moors leaves them exposed to potential flooding, snow, and other elements, which can impact their tunnel system and ability to hunt safely on the moors.
Limited defenses: The Runners have their tunnel system, which provides them great protection from predators and rivals. However, this protection only goes so far, and can leave the cats trapped.
Challenges in differing terrains: While adept to the flat moorland, the Runners may struggle with navigating unfamiliar terrain, such as the rocky outcrops or dense forests.
Unique ranks:
Wind Racer: The Sky Runners do not have individual healers; instead they have the Wind Racers. This role is important and core to the group, as each Racer is trained in the art of healing, both physically and mentally. They are trained to be able to carry any materials needed, bundles tied with grasses, and sprint long distances quickly. They act as the groups cat equivalent to a humans EMT service. It is not an easy job, as it requires each Racer to keep a steady head under pressure and to be able to deal with whatever incident that may have occurred. Be it intergroup conflict, predator attacks, or even traps set by the hunter. The Sky Runners are known to not just have the Racers tend to their own group, but in dire circumstances are known to send them to other groups or even clanless cats in need.
Burrower: The tunnels within the grasslands and hills are not all burrows dug out by rabbits and coyotes, but the Sky Runners as well. Though they feel safer and more free under the stars, that wide open freedom can be a disadvantage at times, and circumstances will urge the group to go underground. Be it large predators or inclement weather, the Sky Runners are able to escape due to the Burrowers. Feeding into their semi-nomadic lifestyle, the Burrowers carve and expand upon tunnel systems within the hills precisely. Cats who are drawn to this rank tend to feel more comfort underground, finding safety within the enclosed walls. These tunnels help sustain The Sky Runners way of life.

THE BRAMBLE KEEPERS
Two felines scamper out of the brambles beneath the forest floor. Their eyes meet you, as if they already knew of your presence. "Oh? You're here to learn about us?" They ponder the prospect for a moment, before nodding and flicking their tail to a near-hidden tunnel of brambles. "Follow us, then- and don't get lost!"
Tumblr media
Common cat traits:
Camouflaged fur: Shades of brown, dark green, and black are very common among these cats. It allows them to blend seamlessly with the dense forest and underbrush.
Thick, protective coats: Their fur is often thick and bristly, which provides protection against the thorns, brambles, and undergrowth. This helps them navigate their dense and prickly territory with ease.
Keen ears: Excellent hearing, crucial for detecting prey and predators in the thick forest–be it from snapping twigs or crunching leaves.
Large bodies: Larger bodies to help push through brambles and thorns of the underbrush. Oftentimes, they look larger due to their thick coats.
Strong legs: Strong legs, ideal for digging through the dense underbrush and navigating their pathways.
Values and culture:
Bravery and courage: Brave and bold, willing to face dangers head-on to protect their territory and their clanmates. Their courage is often displayed in their willingness to confront threats and defend their territory.
Resourcefulness: Resourceful, adept at using their environment to their advantage. Whether it is through natural camouflage, setting traps, or finding hidden paths, the Keepers know how to make the most of their surroundings.
Resilience: Capable of enduring harsh conditions and bouncing back from setbacks. Filled with determination and tenacity to survive in the dense forest.
Craftiness and creativity: Known for weaving bramble branches and thorns, these cats are known to be exceptionally creative and crafty in creating things.
Traditions:
Forest camouflage: These cats will often use natural materials like leaves and mud to enhance their camouflage, especially during patrols and hunts.
Silent hunts: Some hunts are silent and solitary, which aids in the ability to catch prey quickly and efficiently. Apprentices are trained to move quietly and strike swiftly, ensuring they catch their prey without alerting other animals or enemies.
Thorn Trials: In order to become the next rank, apprentices must navigate through a dense thicket of brambles without getting seriously scratched or lost.
Strategic Games: Enjoy strategic games and exercises that hone their cunning and tactical skills. These games often involve complex puzzles or mock battles that require strategic thinking.
Bravery Feasts: After successful battles or significant achievements, the Keepers hold a Bravery Feast to celebrate their victories and honor those who have shown exceptional courage.
Bramble Weaving: Unique tradition of waving bramble branches into intricate patterns to fortify their camp and dens. This strengths their defenses and also showcases their craftsmanship and ties to the forest.
Night vigils: On a rotation, the different members of the Keepers will stay awake to guard the camp an reflect on their responsibilities. This practice reinforces their sense of duty and vigilance.
Camouflage Festival: Once per cycle (3 months), the Keepers hold a festival where they decorate the camp with elaborate bramble weavings. The festival has one large event where members camouflage themselves, and others must search the forest to find them.
Tumblr media
Strengths:
Camouflage: Excel at blending into their surroundings, making them highly effective at ambushing their prey and evading predators.
Resiliency: Tough and resilient, capable of enduring harsh conditions and recovering quickly from setbacks.
Strong defenses: Their camp is fortified with thick bramble walls, providing excellent protection against intruders and making it difficult for enemies to penetrate their territory.
Skilled hunters: Their stealth and quickness make them excellent hunters, able to catch a variety of prey that other clans may struggle to capture.
Craftiness: Adept at using their environment to their advantage, especially in creating brambles to reinforce their territory.
Weaknesses:
Vulnerability to fire: Their dense, bramble-filled territory is highly flammable, making them vulnerable to wildfires.
Limited open-field skills: The Keepers are less effective in open fields and wife, flat areas where their stealth and camouflage offer no advantage.
Thorn injuries: Living among the brambles means the Keepers are more prone to minor injuries and infections from constant exposure to thorns and sharp vegetation.
Navigation challenges: Outsiders find it hard to navigate their dense territory, which can be a double-edged sword if newer apprentices need to evacuate or traverse territory quickly. It can be easy to get lost, especially if one is unfamiliar with it.
Unique Ranks
Fire Tender: A special rank among the Bramble Keepers that excels in the usage of fire and how to control it. Living in an area that is prone to intense overgrowth as well as forest fires during the dry summers is a recipe for disaster, so to combat this the group has formed a role that enacts controlled burns within the pine forest. These controlled burns allow for new growth to appear as well as burn away older growth, and gives less for forest fires to latch onto during the summer cycle, as well as provides the soil with nutrient rich ash that promotes new growth. As a group that values and reveres the cycles of life and death, and the seasons, fire tenders are seen as very brave and are respected for their role.
Controlled burns: Conducting controlled burns to clear underbrush, reducing the risk of wildfires, and also promotes growth of new, healthy vegetation.
Fire safety: In-depth understanding of the behavior of fires, including how they spread and how to navigate them safely. They teach this to the entire clan.
Environmental analysis: Regularly assessing the forest’s condition, noting areas of high fire risk and taking preventative measures to reduce this risk.
Training: Instructs apprentices and warriors in fire safety, wildfire prevention, and firefighting techniques. This ensures that everyone is prepared to handle fire-related incidents.
