History is Weird Enough Without the Magic

Orion - 31 Queer - He/Him Just a tired history nerd who got a little too into ridiculous shows. Needed a blog for The Librarians + Leverage, so here we are. I occasionally post the stuff I write/make. Fluffy prompts for Leverage + The Librarians are always open, just know I'm slow. Current sideblogs: aesthetic nonsense wayhaven chronicles/mass effect (IF & video games in general) If you ship Parker/Eliot without Hardison, I see you and you're not welcome here.

How long will we continue this war? How long will we endure death, destruction, displacement, humiliation, hunger, fear, torture, and heartache?
Will anyone come and stop this madness?
🚨🚨 Due to the high prices, we cannot buy anything because we do not have the money. Your donation will save us from this famine.😭💔🇵🇸

hey @staff why the hell did you ban a trans woman for saying that trans women belong in women's shelters?
@medusadyke was reported by terfs for saying that trans women need and deserve to be in women's spaces for their safety and wellbeing, and subsequently banned by staff.
trans women belong in women's shelters, bathrooms, dressing rooms, and i don't care if it makes some cis women uncomfortable. their safety takes greater precedence over your discomfort. terfs eat shit. it's 2025 and we still have to fight over basic shit like this.

DON’T SKIP, PLEASE I BEG YOU.
Please, I beg you — don’t scroll past this.
Don’t look away. Every second matters. Children in Gaza are not just starving — they are dying from hunger. This heartbreaking photo shows just one of the many innocent lives wasting away in silence. My own baby, little Qais, is suffering the same fate. He’s just a small child, too weak to walk, too empty to cry. I’m pleading with you to donate anything you can — even the smallest amount could help save his life and the lives of others like him.
The famine in Gaza is a human-made catastrophe, driven by unbearable conditions:
1. Total blockade: Food, medicine, and aid are deliberately prevented from reaching millions of civilians.
2. Destruction of agriculture: Airstrikes have wiped out farms, bakeries, and water systems, cutting off local sources of survival.
3. Collapse of healthcare: With hospitals under attack and no supplies left, malnourished children like Qais are left with no treatment, no care, and no chance to recover.
Together, these three forces are killing Gaza’s children. Hunger is no longer just a crisis — it’s an execution.
I’m just a mother holding onto hope with bleeding hands. I cannot feed my son. I cannot keep him warm. I watch him slip away — not because I failed him, but because the world abandoned us. Please, I’m begging you from the depths of my shattered heart: don’t let Qais be another nameless victim. Don’t let hunger erase him. Give whatever you can. Share this. Speak up. You are his last hope. Help Qais live.
PLEASE DONATE HERE
If Qais was your only child, would you leave him to face his fate alone?
DONATE HERE PLEASE

On behalf of my friend Mahmoud @ma7moudgaza2 I'd really like to draw your attention to his campaign. He's a university student who has been splitting his time between supporting his family during this genocide and extreme crisis andalso supporting his community.
He's currently saving up to pursue his education, even under these conditions. His fundraiser has reached 32K out of 35K, and he is very eager to close his campaign so he can truly focus on continuing to support the community through endeavors like @isnadfoundation which he founded and is organizing currently.
And though he has all of this pressure and stress on his mind, like every other Gazan, he is suffering due to the exorbitant costs of food. He barely even has the time or energy to advocate for his own fundraiser with all the work he has been taking on. And yet, he needs this money to feed himself and his family.
If you can support him in any way, please consider donating to his family's fundraising campaign.
You can also donate to his Paypal.

Are you a university student trying to learn under normal circumstances and still finding it difficult? Let me tell you about myself. I'm Mahmoud from Gaza, a computer systems engineer with only two semesters left to graduate. I'm about to get my degree. Famine is ravaging us, but that's not the main obstacle. It's the fees. To enter this semester's exams, I need to secure the required fees, which are about $800. These are the last two semesters, and I'll be done with university. I'm worried and afraid of falling behind an additional year. I must get this amount to finish this semester!
Tumblr media
Dear student, to be able to access Moodle, you must pay 20% of the tuition fees for the registered hours for the second semester 2024/2025 as a minimum through payment methods: bank transfer, PayPal, or mobile Pay. Click here for payment methods. After payment, the notification must be delivered to Professor Raafat Muammar via WhatsApp.
Tumblr media
Here is the exam schedule, the first exam starts on August 9th and this amount must be collected before this period to pay to the university and enter the exam!
Give me a chance to complete my education, donate what you can for me so that I can become an engineer and help my family and my country

I'd like to post once again on behalf of my friend Suad. She has reached out to me again because things are only getting worse for her and her family.
Just like everyone in Gaza, she is deeply affected and suffering due to the manufactured famine. She is hardly receiving enough donations for her family to get by, and what donations she does receive are barely enough for flour and baby food for her son, Khaled, and a handful of vegetables.
Khaled, who was born under the siege and genocide has been in constant need of medical care as he has been ill due to malnutrition and the conditions that Suad and her family have been living under. This is an infant whose life has been nothing but struggle from the day he was born.
As you can see, the fundraiser is going incredibly slow, especially as Tumblr keeps deleting Suad's blog and she has not been able to advocate for herself or for her family's survival.

It is my friend, Moh'd Ayesh's, birthday today, and he is spending yet another birthday without enough food to eat, and with the weight of the world on his shoulders.
I wish I could wish him a happy birthday without it sounding hollow, because right now, there is no way for him to have a happy birthday -- that was taken from him by the occupation and the genocide and the blockade.
Instead I can only wish for things to get better, and that his next birthday is somewhere safe, where he can feel unburdened and happy.
It would mean the world if you could please check out his fundraiser and donate if you can. Consider it a birthday gift to him. And if you could also reblog and wish him well, I'm sure it would also mean a lot to him to see so many people's positivity and love.

The man-made famine in Gaza continues to get worse. As the world continues to watch this through phone and TV screens, real people are struggling to find even the basic necessities to buy. Families who would once subsist on a few loaves of bread a day, now cannot even find the resources to make even 1 loaf.
The hunger that Gazans have been feeling due to the resource scarcity is growing more and more excruciating as time goes by.
If there is no intervention to allow resources into Gaza, the unthinkable will occur and we all know this.
The best thing you can do for your Gazan friends is to ensure that they are able to afford whatever little they can find to eat, as it is quite literally life and death.
I'd like to direct your attention as well to my friend Ayah. She is taking care of beautiful children, who are going to bed hungrier and hungrier with each passing day. Her fundraiser has only raised €4,634 in months of being active. Please donate if you can and give her and her family even the smallest bit of hope in these incredibly harrowing days.

I'm making another post to bring attention to a fundraiser that has been extremely slow in receiving donations, and has very very few donations. As of me writing this post, they have not received a donation in 5 days.
Jamal could also use some help in anybody else willing to adopt his fundraiser: that is, to make posts bringing attention to his fundraiser every so often and remain in contact with him, his blog is @jamal-aldahdouh. He only has a couple people helping him and regularly doing this. If not, I ask that people please give attention to this fundraiser and reblog it whenever you see it, and maybe even tag others in the post.

Please, don’t let them deport my siblings back to Gaza. Please share this !!
Please don’t let them send my sisters back to Gaza, simply because we can’t afford a piece of paper.
Tumblr media
Hello everyone, As some of you may know, my name is Amal. I’m an architect from Gaza, currently living in Berlin. I came here before the war on a work contract, but I was fired as soon as the war started because of my Palestinian identity.
With a heavy heart, I launched this fundraiser to help my family. Thanks to your generous donations, I was able to evacuate them from certain death in Gaza to Egypt. But they fled with nothing — no home, no income, no future. And for those who remember, I was also scammed out of $20,000 during my desperate attempts to save them.
After I got my family to safety, I felt I had already asked for too much. So I stopped posting for 9 months. I didn’t want to burden anyone. I tried to carry everything on my own, working 3 exhausting jobs, barely sleeping. But now, I’m drained. I took on three jobs in Berlin and kept going, hoping I could carry this weight alone. But the truth is: I can’t anymore.
I’m supporting five people on my own. I don’t sleep. I’m drained — physically, emotionally, financially. Rent in both Berlin and Cairo is crushing me. I cover every single expense for my family — food, shelter, medicine — and still, it’s not enough.
Every step a Palestinian takes in Egypt costs a fortune.
Now I’m being asked to send my sister out of Egypt just so she can come back and reapply for residency, meaning I need to buy her plane tickets. They also asked us to pay $2,500 just to activate her student residency. On top of that, $3,000 is required for her next semester.
My other sister, Abeer, has just graduated from medical school after 7 years of studying in Egypt, but she’s not allowed to receive her diploma unless we pay $9,000 in overdue fees from the past 3 years. We couldn’t afford the last 3 years because of the war.
I’ve attached proof of this payment demand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I honestly talk to myself in the street out of exhaustion. I’ve been quiet because I felt guilty asking for more. But I can’t do this anymore. I’m just one person trying to carry a mountain.
Please help me. Please share my story. I am just a human. I am breaking.
Please don’t let them send my sisters back to Gaza, simply because we can’t afford a piece of paper.
Here is the GoFundMe link Any donation or share could save their future. Thank you for reading.
