I'm getting sick and tired of the mentality that "villains never stay evil anymore!"/"why can't villains stay un-redeemed?" Because it just shows me that you haven't watched any media besides Steven Universe, She Ra, Undertale, or Cruella.

I can name a ton of examples of villains that either stay evil or are punished/killed because of their evil deeds (I'm sure others can also name examples). And even if they are redeemed in a work, so what? That's not an indicator of how good or bad their character or the writing is. If the character is interesting and the writing is good, then what's the problem?

I'm not sure if this is me being dramatic but I can't stand this new trend of exaggerated romantic language even when it's done ironically. I'm a fanartist and these "I'm gonna kiss you on the mouth" "OP how do you like your eggs in the morning" etc. type of tags/comments on my post... make me uncomfortable. Fandom Problem 3851: I don’t know what I expected. Moment Hogwarts Legacy came out, everyone in the internet is blowing up over whether or not its ethical to bludgeon people to death if they dare display interest in it. Normally I’d say “Stop talking about it if you don’t want people to check it out that fucking badly”, but I guess I’d be too tired to say so, I think? ‘Course, the moment I’d check the controversy because people want me to make up my mind, is also the day a (somewhat disappointing) video game direct comes out, so I have those two to be annoyed about. Petty, but what can I say? 

And WOW, people do NOT get that telling strangers to drop their interests (for any reason or another, mind you) is not a good way to introduce yourself.

Shippers of a certain pairing in a fandom I'm in: Character A and B are not adopted siblings, it's mistranslated, the original line says something different. Anyone who thinks they're siblings is an idiot.

The original line: Doesn't call them adopted siblings, but calls them something that culturally is often treated like adopted siblings.

Yet another line elsewhere in the original language: Calls character A the adopted son of Character B's family and calls Character B's father the adopted father of Character A

The shippers: La La La we don't hear, we're so obsessed with the idea of shipping any hot guys that exist together but are opposed to shipping incest that we're going to lie and deny canon to make us feel better and harass anybody who acknowledges the canon.

You people have got to stop saying using "men" and "misogynists" as synonyms and instead just say misogynists, especially for something like movies, because it implies that there hasn't been chill male fans already, and just sexist to say all men hate things women like. Fandoms who let bullies, harassers, doxxers, meanngirl cliques, etc. Hurt people over and over for years (showing they'll never change) get away with what they do and EVEN JOIN IN! on harassment against people for years get away with what they do solely because they pretend to be activists online or are a certain identity.

It makes me lose hope in ever participating in fandoms ever again when you all let people get away with this and lead happy, popular and toxic behavioral lives.
