Banishment Magick 🔮
Banishing is the act of forcefully removing something, or putting an end to something. Banishing generally involves three different parts: the actual banishment, cleansing to clear out any lingering negativity, and protection from further negative energy. Banishing and cleansing can sometimes be done in one swift motion.
Things you might want to banish:
Negative spirits or entities
Negative energy
Bad habits
Negative influences in your life
Methods of Banishment:
Performing the LBRP (Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram)
Sprinkling black salt or another kind of banishing powder around your home or property
Anointing doors and windows with blessed or charged water
Burning incense in your home
Creating a spray and spritzing it around your home
Drawing symbols on your doors and windows with blessed/charged water or oils
Physically cleaning your space to remove dust, grime, and negativity
Playing loud music - metal would be a good choice
Making other loud noises (slamming doors, banging pots and pans together, etc.)
Crafting a poppet or representation of said negative influence and burning it
Binding the negative influence to an object and disposing of it
Herbs for Banishment:
Basil, Betel Nut, Black Pepper, Black Salt, Cactus, Cayenne Pepper, Chamomile, Chili Powder, Cloves, Dragon’s Blood, Elder, Garlic, Heliotrope, Horehound, Juniper, Morning Glory, Mullein, Mugwort, Oleander, Onion, Rosemary, Rue, Sage, Sea Salt, St. John’s Wort, Thyme, Tobacco, Vinegar, Wood Betony, Yarrow Flower
Crystals for Banishment:

Witchcraft Exercise - Dig Through The Ditches
While we may not all be able to go for a woodsy hike to connect with our local land spirits and find wild herbs, there is always some sort of ecosystem around us. Making that connection and identifying useful plants can be done just about anywhere.
First, identify your region and find a field guide to the local flora. You’ll want something small enough to carry that has color photographs and detailed descriptions. Peterson’s Field Guides makes very good ones for the U.S. Publishers and availability will vary according to location.
Next, take a stroll! Visit your local community park or green space, or just check out the roadside weeds growing nearest your home. There’s always something. If you don’t feel comfortable lingering in one place long enough to analyze the plants on-site, take some pictures on your phone. That way, you can identify and read about them later.
Take notes about the plants you find. What are their magical uses? Is there any folklore connected to them? Were they ever used in medicine? Where where they growing? What sort of feeling did the plant give you (if any)? How do they fit into the local biome? Is it a native species, an introduced one, or an invasive one?
If you happen to find something that might be useful in your craft, you can go back and collect a small sample, provided the plant is not endangered or likely to harm you and is growing in a public space. (State and national parks do not count as public spaces. They’re great for pictures and study, but please refrain from collecting plants there.) When in doubt, leave it be.
I wouldn’t advise using roadside plants for anything you plan to ingest, but they’re still great for spells, offerings, and the burning bowl. A good rinse-and-hang-dry is highly recommended to make sure your specimens are as clean as they can be.
Make sure you label your specimen bundles and any jars you use for storage to make later identification easier. You can press leaves and flowers and tape them into your witchbook, or include illustrations or photos with your notes.
All of this will help you learn about and connect with the land around you, even if you live in an urban or highly developed area. The energy is always around us. We just might need to be still a while and look a little harder to find it.
Happy Witching! 🌿
ADDENDUM:
There are also plant identification apps like PlantNet, Plantifier, LeafSnap, iNaturalist, and SmartPlant that you can install on your phone.

Things you can do on the first of the month - along with or instead of blowing cinnamon through your door
An extremely popular practice right now is to blow cinnamon through your door on the first of the month. It’s popular for good reason, as doing this can bring in prosperity for the new month.
However if you cant partake in this practice due to pets, allergies or any other reason - or simply would like to change/add more to your first of the month ritual, I’d like to offer some ideas!
First let’s talk about the significance of the first of the month and blowing an herb into the home. The first day of a month is a starting point. You can set the tone for how the rest of the month will unfold energetically. One is the number of beginnings and potential! Do not worry if you miss it or simply don’t feel up to it on the first you can of course still do the same practices any day of the month.
The act of blowing the cinnamon into your home is to symbolize that energy flowing into your household. This can be achieved through different means and different herbs all based on preference.
Want to change it up? - Alternative actions:
Cinnamon in your coffee
Put or refresh prosperous herbs & crystals in your wallet
Herbs & crystals in the mail box
Burning bay leaves
Prosperity front door wash (don’t forget the doorknobs!)
Cinnamon sticks in / on the mailbox
Burning a green or yellow candle
A small luck or prosperity ritual/working
Drinking mint tea
Sweeping! (Clear out that old stagnant energy!)
Prosperity herb scented hand / body soap
Make / feed / refresh money bowl
Blowing cinnamon in a house would be activating it using the air element - try a different element (burning, burying or putting in water)
Can’t use cinnamon? - Some other plants for prosperity:
Mint
Allspice
Bay leaves
Black tea
Catnip
Cilantro
Clover
Ginger
Moonwort
Oats
Oregano
Parsley
Peppermint
I hope this takes some pressure off and gives you new ideas!

HEY FRIENDS
Sorry I’m so rarely active these days! Between work and school, I barely have time to sit down on the computer to do something other than working.
Anyway, I have a little request! I don’t know how well this will work, but I’ll be appreciative!
At my job, I’m actually our cannabis/alternative medicine and networking person. We are trying to build up our social media and I am… not the best at it.
My boss gave me a friendly challenge: he wants me to get to 1,000 Instagram followers before the end of this year, and I have no idea how to do it or where to start!!
That being said, if you’d be willing to go follow my instagram (it’s still my same tarot/witchy one; I’m blessed to be able to incorporate my alternative practices with my work!) I would be super appreciative! I am still going to continue posting about my witchy content and such, I just also am going to incorporate work into it.
Thank you!!

I started my in person classes today!!
I am so excited for them.
I have a history of ancient religions class, and the other is called “descent and return”, and it’s a class that specifically explores Hades, and the beings that can travel between the upper and underworlds without dying
It’s a class about the metaphorical and literal concept of going to hell and returning from the experience alive
I’m so excited

I work at a clinic that gives medical cannabis cards to patients. While I don’t always get to hear banter between couples, I do get a lot of funny patients and some batty stories.
A lot of the patients we get are elderly, and elderly stoners are my favorite because they’re unabashedly tell me about the exploits of their youth. We get a lot of sassy older ladies too.
Since I also live in Utah, there’s a lot of Mormons. One time, there was this older man who came in. Big Santa Claus looking guy. When I’m helping to check him out of his appointment, he proceeds to tell me that he used to be a bishop in the church, and “You know how in the Bible, there’s those blank sheets of paper for no reason? I used to rip those out and roll joints with them. They weren’t being used anyway!”
I love It.
I have to admit something. As a waitress I love to overhear the most batshit crazy conversations between dysfunctional couples. And when I come up to ask for their order while they're in the middle of accusing each other of cheating, it's like coke to me. I'll be energized all shift. Don't even bother tipping, thank you for choosing to have this conversation in a public place where its my job to walk up to you and ask how things are going on multiple occasions.

I promise im not dead
I’ve just been crazy busy with work and school and life
But also here’s the thing y’all
I really, really, really love my job. I work for a medical clinic, but I am specifically our cannabis person. There’s actually quite a lot of different things I do, but a big part of my job is marketing, networking, and connecting with other people in both the cannabis industry and local communities as a whole
So, one of my favorite things about my job is the fact that I get to educate and help give people resources about cannabis. Because of the things I enjoy, like witchcraft, spirituality, music and concerts, tattoo conventions, events, etc, I actually end up in spaces where people are using cannabis a lot! I honestly naturally end up in places where people are open to talking about cannabis. I love It. I get to go to fun events and talk about weed. It’s a dream job for me. (I also do get to do healthcare related stuff when I’m in the clinic too; I am my boss’s MA, which I also love. I’m also about to enroll in a phlebotomy program so that I can have more diverse medical skills!)
The problem I have run into recently is a combination of a few things. I am really excited about my work and the things I am doing, but… I’m having trouble finding anyone to talk to about it. Even my coworkers are kind of like “oh. That’s cool.” And that’s it. 🫠 and I feel like it is rare that people genuinely love their job, and so I feel like I am bragging or something. And if the person hates their job, I just…. Aaaahhhh
For example, I actually got us a deal with a big cannabis culture magazine, and I finalized and got the ad for it in today. I’m really excited, but I don’t really have anyone to talk to about it. There’s other things, but that’s the first example to come to mind.
I just want to be able to share my excitement with someone!!

Table of Plenty - A Spell of Providence
Then the wise woman said, “Wipe away thy tears, Two-eyes, and I will tell thee something to stop thee ever suffering from hunger again. Just say to thy goat “Bleat, my little goat, bleat. Cover the table with something to eat!” and then a clean well-spread little table will stand before thee, with the most delicious food upon it of which thou mayst eat as much as thou art inclined for. And when thou hast had enough, and hast no more need of the little table, just say “Bleat, bleat, my little goat, I pray, And take the table quite away. Then it will vanish again from thy sight.” Hereupon the wise woman departed.
- One-Eye, Two-Eyes, and Three-Eyes
Intent: To obtain needed money or provisions.
Materials:
Paper and a writing utensil
A pinch or two of rice
A white candle (a taper or chime candle is best)
Ideal Timing: Waxing or Full Moon
This spell is not meant to bring great wealth or fancy possessions to the caster. It is to be used only to bring yourself or another something that is badly needed, particularly if unfortunate financial circumstances are making paying the bills or buying necessities difficult. It is meant to tide you over until your situation improves, and can be combined with or cast in addition to other money-drawing or prosperity spells where needed. As such, the materials are as simple as possible.
Write what you need on the paper. The list can be as long or as short as you need it to be, but the more specific you are, the better the spell will work. Be sure that you only ask for what you really need. A little excess is fine, in case of something unexpected, but don’t go overboard.
Fold the paper into a small packet with the rice inside and place it in a fire-safe dish. Light the white candle and carefully drip wax onto the packet, turning it until it is completely covered on all sides. (I suggest using tweezers or a pencil to turn the packet so you don’t burn your fingers.)
As you drip the wax onto the packet, chant seven times:
Blesséd rice and words of power, Aid me in my needful hour. Hear my cry, I pray you heed, The help I ask comes not from greed.
Hide the packet away somewhere it won’t be disturbed. If you have a few coins to hide with it in a jar or crock, so much the better.
Once your circumstances have improved and you are once more back on your feet, retrieve the packet and burn it in a fire-safe dish. Recite over the flames:
You gave me help when I had none; You have my thanks, your work is done.
The spell may be repeated as often as you have need.
