Neville’s planning to propose to Frankie, he goes to visit his parents at St Mungos like he does each month.

Neville sits with them and talks to them about her and how he wants to propose to her, even though he knows they won’t really understand him. Neville smiles to his mum “I think you’d like her mum, I’ll bring her with me next time I see you both” he tells her, getting no reaction of course.

As he goes to leave, he felt a hand on his shoulder, it was his mother, usually when he left, she would simply give him a piece of candy or something, but when she put something in his hand it wasn’t candy, it was two rings. Alice had given her son her engagement and wedding ring. She gave him a very small smile before she sits down again.

Neville smiles back, realizing a part of her did understand.
