hello, thank you for the ask! i def have a few fics i would love to recommend!

i’m not sure what kind of fics you’re looking for but there are a lot of different, amazing works in this fandom so i’ll try to offer as such variety as possible! (please also bare in mind that i haven’t managed to read every single fic... yet... so if your work wasn’t included, i’m very sorry! feel free to add it to the post!)

here, in no particular order, are in my opinion the must-read fan fictions for this ship:

Sentiment and Understanding by GammaRays

(COMPLETED - this fic will make you cry. it is beautiful, haunting and gut-wrenching. i reread it every few months bc it has not left my mind since the first time i read it)

Ciel Phantomhive never expected to live for so long; after losing even more loved ones and abandoning his revenge, he would have welcomed death with open arms. The demon at his side never expected one mortal to intrigue him so. Neither of them understood why the contract has not been terminated on time.

But everything ends at some stage, every mortal withers away. Sebastian knew it; it didn't bother him. Of course not; the boy was just one of countless, weak humans. This is what he always used to tell himself. But how foolish he was, and how long it took him to understand it.

The demon has but one objective: to find his master, even if it means laying London to waste. Ciel's disadvantage is that he remembers nothing from his past and though he has allies, they too have their own agenda.

Chaos like the world undone... something loathsome this way comes.

Bodyguard by Rabiid-Bunny (ONGOING - this fic is ONE OF MY FAVS RN. the characterisation of modern ciel and sebastian are my favourite, their interactions are so interesting to read and the twist and turns of the plot which will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat!)

He stalked back into the living room, stopping in front of one window panel when the faintest of noises came from behind him. Ciel held his breath and closed his eyes in concentration. Calmly, he reached into the waistband of his pants and made to turn around but not before he felt the cold steel of a blade placed against his throat.

"Don't move."

To The End of Everything by Lord_Is_It_Mine (COMPLETED - this is probably one of my favourite ever fics. it has vampires, slowburn, romance, an amazing plot AND a very satisfying ending, what’s not to love?)

The door clicked shut again, and Ciel was left alone with the nagging familiarity that had plagued him when he'd first read the newspaper article. He remembered the look of terror in the victim's vacant eyes, the same terror he had felt all those years ago during his captivity. Perhaps that was why this case was familiar- it simply reminded him of what he had suffered at the hands of his abductors. He took another deep breath. There was no reason to think there was any more of a connection than that. Still, a sickening ache sat low in his stomach. Why would someone be collecting souls?

Look After You by GrieverBitMyFinger (COMPLETED - unfortunately, this is one of the only a/b/o fics i have on my rec list as i dont tent to read a/b/o but oh my god, this fic was amazing. it was a slowburn, romantic, and came to a beautiful ending. highly recommend!)

The life of an omega is hardly ever a happy one. At least, that is what Ciel Phantomhive believed. Sebastian never understood why his master saw it to be such a horrible thing; all natures had their strengths and faults, making them equal. As an alpha, and a demon at that, it had never occurred to him to ask or discover what it was to be an omega in the human world. He was content to forego learning such things and continue on as he was; after all, he had no need for that information in the beginning.

Valentine’s Day by Amanitus (COMPLETED - this is one of my favourite fics, ever. the writing is just so so beautiful!)

There wasn't the slightest softness in that fine imposing face. Whatever emotions it might occasionally deign to show, empathy was not amongst them; only amusement, or bland boredom, or that strange keen side-glance that Ciel caught sometimes. Hunger, thought Ciel. That look was hunger, and in its rare small moments of revelation Ciel felt it pressing on his skin like sharp glass. On the eve of St Valentine's Day, Ciel is faced with a challenge: presenting his affianced with a suitable expression of his affection. But the boy has several problems. He despises sentimentality. He isn't sure how he feels about the Lady Elizabeth. And he's just beginning to figure out exactly how he feels about the demon who will cost him his soul. And exactly how the devious creature feels about him.

Strawberry Kisses by KittyGetsLoose (COMPLETED - this is also pretty short, but it is very very sweet and self indulgent, there aren’t many fics for this ship that are just plain fluff, so i definitely recommend the read!)

Ciel asks for strawberries for tea - in the dead of winter. Sebastian delivers, and delivers, and delivers. The result is sure to be trouble. Oneshot.

Where Shall We End by Martialartist 816 (COMPLETED - bloodplay is definitely one of my guilty pleasures for this ship and this fic just nails it. it’s rough, violent and bloody. highly highly recommend.)

Ciel pulls the gun from his cloak and aims it at the cultist who spoke. Anger rolls off of him like heat from a radiator. Sebastian would very much like to warm his hands.

So I blocked my first person on here. Not gonna name drop since I'm a nobody, but I'll hint they're a Sebmey shipper. I have 0 issue with the ship, I'm down with Sebba anything lol. But omg I just got so sick of being recommended them then seeing how much time they devote to hating everyone and everything. It just kinda made me sad for them, I don't get the point? Maybe their life is just so good they have 0 other problems and to fill that void they lash out for the sake of drama. I'm fine with most of the anti sebaciel accounts, people are free to have their own opinions, but damnnnnn, the anger levels on that one were almost psychotic. No grelliam, no sebbagrell, no lizzy is kinda annoying, just Sebamey and Grell must be worshiped. "Healthy ships" only. As if Meys known obsession isn't unhealthy. Nothing in kuro cannon is healthy. Thats half of what makes the drama of it so good. There are no good guys. Even finny is broken as hell. He'll smash heads because he can and is allowed to work in a garden. Thats not well adjusted behavior. Just a little thinky thought for the day.

Since @rabiid-bunny joined as a collaborator on Limerence, a complete overhaul was necessary. We’ve rewritten the first chapter - It’s 50% longer and 100% hotter. 

It will still be an interactive fic. We’ve saved all the goodies you’ve suggested and we’re finally ready to get working on Chapter 2.

I also recommend anything by @griever-bit-my-finger or @cielpansyhive, but it’s all sebaciel. Griever is great at romantic fluff, and Pansy does some great smutty one shots. (Though he also has some really interesting non-sex stories.) For smut (especially if it’s monsters), @secretly-a-wuss is a definite one to check out.... and man now I’m thinking of a few other stories/authors... I may need to make a second list!

The Cut (a Bodyguard one-shot)

@chanonce reminded me that I have a few silly one-shots written in the Bodyguard universe. Enjoy this for now, the new chapter will be up Friday. 

Sebastian awoke slowly, more so from the uncomfortable heat than the afternoon sun shining through the window. He looked to his left and saw Ciel, breathtaking in his slumber and completely passed out and from being wasted. And to his right was Liz’s thigh. Her head was towards the bottom of Ciel’s king sized bed as she slept while spooning a tiny Sieglinde. Her entire side was pressed against Sebastian just as Ciel’s limbs were clinging to his other. He began to sit up slowly and chuckled at the memory of the drunk girls crashing their bedroom because “Ciel has the softest fucking bed ever.” With careful precision, he climbed over Ciel. And for his own territorial sake, he placed a pillow in his abandoned spot and lightly kissed his charge’s sleepy lips. It’s times like these he was most thankful he rarely got hangovers. However, he would soon need to prepare a meal for a bed full of three, grumpy princesses. Sebastian made his way to Ciel’s bathroom, heading straight for the toilet. He sighed as he wills himself soft. That must’ve been the first night he and Ciel shared a bed and did nothing but…sleep. And, now that he thought of it, the first morning as well. He finisheed up and ran a hand through his hair as he pondered what he would prepare for brea— “What the fuck?” Sebastian turned toward the mirror, getting up close and personal as he stared wide eyed at his hair. His fingers traveled from long bangs that fell down to his chin to half inch long hair over his right ear. He parted his hair to the left to reveal the tapered buzz, seeing a design of horizontal lines cut out in the shortest part. The shaved portion almost mirrored Lizzie’s. He sighed and let his hair fall back into place. It wasn’t a bad look. Not bad at all. However, it wasn’t discussed with him and he couldn’t have those three rascals thinking they could get away with everything. There was only one drunk that could pull off such a precise cut without doing any damage. He marched back towards the bed. A high pitched cry that Ciel was far too familiar with woke him with a start. He sat up to see Sebastian holding an angry 5'1" Sieglinde by her ankles. He looked to Sebastian in surprise and immediately covered his mouth with his hand when he eyed the shaved portion of hair. Liz was now up and next to Ciel, in the same position of shock. “Who.” Sebastian’s voice was as calm as his expression. “Who let her do this?” “Argh! Put me down, you obscene monstrosity! I could kill you in your sleep!” “Which one of you told her to do this?” The two best friends said nothing as they fought back laughter. Sieglinde continued to struggle as Sebastian held the seething little thing out to Liz, “Was it you?” Still covering her mouth, Liz shook her head. Sieglinde now dangled in front of Ciel, “You?” Ciel mirrored Liz. Sebastian sighs. “Even when drunk, Sieglinde doesn’t work for free. One of you paid her. Tell me, now.” Silence. Even Sieglinde became quiet. “Ah. I see. Well, we will see you in a bit. Sieglinde and I have some business to attend to.” Liz dropped her hands, “What are you going to do with her!?” “She is going to shave the rest of my hair.” “WHAT!?” The three of them yelled out in unison. Sebastian was beyond a sight for sore eyes but his hair made him something more powerful than God. No, the Devil. Yes, Sieglinde cut a part of his hair but to have it all gone… “Sebastian, wait!” “Michaelis,” Ciel sat up straighter, “Look at me. We can talk about this.” “There wasn’t much talk a second ago.” A high noise of distress was echoed between the three when Sebastian took a step towards the bathroom. Ciel stood. This was serious business. Desperate measures. “Liz. Out.” Ciel stared straight into Sebastian’s eyes as he gave the commands. “Take Siggy with you.” Without a moment’s hesitation, Liz shot up, grabbed Sieglinde bridal style and sped out of the bedroom with her. Ciel didn’t move until he heard the door click in place along with a burst of laughter from the two girls down the hall. He stepped up to Sebastian until their bodies were pressed together, tilting his head up to get a closer look at his handsome face. His fingers came up and gently prod where long hair used to be. “It’s kind of hot.” “I know you paid her.” Sebastian’s voice was as dark as his eyes on Ciel. “No,” Ciel continued to feel Sebastian’s new cut, pressing his hips harder into him, “she owed me a few favors.” “You little shit,” Sebastian grabbed him, pulling roughly on Ciel’s hair until his smirk opened up to a gasp. “Hng! L-like I said. It’s kind of hot.” “I’m going to pay you back, Phantomhive.” “Mmm,” Ciel brushed the short hair once more and licked his lips, “whatever you say, princess.”

I have a fun headcanon that all reapers must eat carrots in order to get their eyesight strengthened, and some like Grelle, Ronald and Othello don’t really like eating those and it’s a requirement and a diet, since reapers like humans do eat and I can imagine Mr. High Branches being a git and reminding them(kay I said I didn’t like his abuse to them, but in a comical sense it’s valid)

If you knew me in my 20s you never actually knew me, you knew season 2 me. We had somewhat better funding than season 1, but the writing team was a revolving door and most were on every drug known to man and even some only known to aliens. None of those "writers" even knew what the show was susposed to be about. Hopefully season 3 will be more consistent.
