Fell into the hole of dark BL manhwas.
Currently reading my way through "Missing Love" and "Warehouse". They're perfect psychological thriller and horror stories. Each chapter has me bracing and anticipating in hopes of catharsis in the end.
I like their portrayals of rape too. It's not titillating. It's absolutely horrific in their brutality and despair, which I find respectful to the gravity of the crime. It also felt, to me, less contrived than most BLs I've read. In "Missing Love", the MC's good looks sealed his fate when the gangsters took him. In "Warehouse", the MC's own hubris in his teenage years caused tragedies in adulthood.
I'm still not yet done with both manhwas. My opinions may still change. But so far, they're good though I admit that I skip a lot of the sex scenes because they just make my stomach churn or tear up in pain.

I'm already at Chapter 140 of DoD and Cheongryeo feels like an unhinged Joonghyuk who really really went off the deep end then decided he loves it there. His interactions with Moondae is a mix of hilarious and creepy.
I'm sure I've got this wrong, but I think the idea is too funny:
Cheongryeo: Moondae, be the Kim Dokja to my Yoo Joonghyuk!
Moondae: No.
Cheongryeo: BE THE UGLY SQUID TO MY SUNFISH BASTARD!

Currently reading "Debut or Die". This novel was totally not on my scheduled reading. It was supposed to be "Lord of the Mysteries". However, the high rating of DoD despite its weird premise made me curious.
Let's just say... I got hooked immediately. I still have yet to really understand why. Idols are not my thing. Transmigration/Body Possession is not my favorite. But. I. Just. Can't. Stop. Reading!

I got addicted to web novels lately. It's not good for my sleeping schedule.
Damn you, Kim Dokja. It all started with you.
