It’s that time again. Time to break a new feature film. We know the film’s premise and we know the lead characters. As this one is based on an existing TV show, we know them fairly well. The fun bit is that no sooner do we start to doodle up beats on cards, the characters start to dictate the agenda and pace. They decide what to do, where to go and how they handle things when they get there. It really is down to them. We’re just trying to keep up. If there’s a plot hole (as there clearly is here) it is usually for a good reason. So we ask ourselves: What’s around? Who is around? What did our heroes forget to do?
