We’ve gone to this big indoor one in Pennsylvania and it is packed. I feel so envious and icky, everywhere I look I see what I wish I was but can’t grasp. I feel like part of me is dying here

phase two 2023 vs phase three 2025

I made these when I was still in high school and have only added patches since, and this week I realised I don't like a lot of them so I covered them with band patches cause there was an alarming lack of those.

I don't think it's like wrong per se that a lot of people get into punk and want to immidiately make a complicated build like this, but I find these projects age better when you take the time to research how to make them and how you want to make them, as opposed to just winging it.

I remember handpainting the original patches just in one go and breaking my brain brainstorming as many as I could. And my brain being mine and not really conditioned with punk media at the time defaulted to tumblr memes and musical theatre. I don't think there's something wrong with that really, I wouldn't say I was being a poser before and now im So Real. I just matured into who I am now, side effect of time passing. The lack of knowledge on how to achieve what I wanted to achieve back then didn't make the attempts any less earnest.
