MADS: so my thermostat broke and now idk what to do with myself. its 82 degrees in my apartment

MADS: AND its all humid and shit outside.. im not one to complain but i actually like being at home so this is a huge inconvenience

MADS: anyways... now that i'm boiling.. you have any other options for me ?

DANIELLE: why are you in your apartment and not in balllli

     as nimble fingertips grasp a tight hold to the next shot glass, louis downs it with no trouble. all is well, vibes are good up until he hears a voice laced with annoyance. as his head turns about, louis sighs deeply before trying to push aside the factor of irritation that already pools in his stomach. quite honestly he’d much rather not deal with this type of attitude on a time away from the city. that’s for sure. “ i’ve been on this trip for like … a few days now ? y’think m’gonna properly get up n’ leave just cause YOU’RE here now ? don’t feel special. ” 

    she’s not gonna lie; she expected louis to move almost right away. surely he didn’t want to be around her any more than she wanted to be around him. her gaze narrows but she tries to keep her voice at least somewhat level. no need to tip off anyone else passing by that she was angry. it wasn’t just at him being on the beach -- actually, that wasn’t a part of the problem at all. even months and several flings later, she’s still not forgiven louis for leading her on and breaking her heart like it was nothing; and why should she? “ there’s plenty of other places for you to be. even just, oh... “ she leans around him to gesture further up the beach, “ ten feet that way would be enough. i’m trying to appreciate the view. ”
