Not an android, exactly, but a reyvateil. A reyvateil is a species of hominids who "have the power of transforming sounds into energy, but more strictly speaking, they are artificial life forms created with the most advanced technology in Sound Science."You will find posts about music, math & computer science, feminism, video games, and an eclectic mix of other posts that I am fond of.I have an RP blog as well.
So many people assume that the reason there are so few women software developers is that they don't have an interest in it, and that may be part of it, and that's where Google, and other's, initiatives help.
That's part of it, and I'm fairly certain that's the smaller part.
The big part is that once a woman enters the software development community they are immediately accosted by men. Even the names of many projects are misogynistic, and, for many, not a day goes by without some comment of the same sort.
Then, assuming they make it past that, while men are judged based on the quality of their work, women are often judged based on their appearance.
So yes, part of it is getting women into technology, but a bigger part is stopping the men from forcing them out of it.
