OKAY so.

A lot has happened.

Dad is still in the hospital. It’s rough. And at the moment, that’s a drop in the Stress Ocean that has been Wednesday through now. 

I’m going to be taking care of my hilarious and awesome sweet baby sister, @tieflingtiger for awhile, so we get another absolute nerd in the house. I’m really excited about it.

However, I have had to refund any active commissions I was working on. I was having a hard time with my wrist and now I absolutely cannot commit to working on anything, especially digital, for awhile.

What does this mean?

Since my source of income is screeching to a halt (something I had prepared for initially but I just had to refund a huge commission I had been working on and now we’re housing my awesome sis,) I’m probably going to be pimping out my etsy page and pretty much relying on that. 

Sales have always been sporadic there, but now that I’m done with conventions, I can sit down once all of this initial crazy blows over and start organizing and adding more things to it.

I might be doing more traditional maps (I find it therapeutic and can bring them with me to work on anywhere. Plus they don’t hurt my wrist like digital work does.) I might even be offering one or two as commissions over the summer. Not sure. 

TLDR: My life is absolutely bonkers right now and this is the first time I’ve been able to sit down at my com for awhile. I’m suddenly much shorter on funds than I’d prepared for. If you’ve ever wanted a print from me, I’m going to be updating my etsy soon, so keep an eye out for that.

Scattered around the city-states of Eorzea are flyers advertising a trade company familiar to those from the Far East. Having now expanded its business to Eorzea, the Far Eastern trade company is opening its door for the first time in the West.

The Golden Fox Trade House is now open in Eorzea. Come seek out exotic goods from the Far East or partake in trade of your own with the company. Not interested in shopping? The Emporium will have an izakaya downstairs where you can enjoy the finest drinks the Far East has to offer. 

When: Friday, 29th of June, 2018. Time: 8 PM EST to 11 PM EST Location: Plot 06, Ward 10, the Mists, Balmung Server. OOC notes: Both white market and black market wares will be sold on the night. We strongly advise using whisper for under the counter transactions.

Dewdrop Inn is hiring!

A bit about us:

Dewdrop Inn runs a weekly service at our house in the Mists from 4PM to 6PM Sundays.   Our events are straightforward, focused on providing a friendly interaction for every person that walks through the door.  There’s no tricks or performances or something secret in a back room to pull anyone in.  Casual, slice-of-life experiences are our bread and butter.  We see ourselves as a meeting place and a launchpad for other adventures and connections outside of ourselves.  A community fixture of sorts, or a place to find character development opportunities.

Though of course, running these does require a willingness to put in a little elbow grease.  Which is why we’re reaching out to you.

A bit about the kind of people we need:

People who like to interact, which, honestly, could mean most kinds of characters that aren’t looking to cause trouble and might need a job!  This sort of position is open to both established characters and new alts in need of some community ties, as this high degree of face to face interaction means you will meet people, both within DewRP’s staff and our many regular customers. 

Since we’re focused around a single time each week, we do need any volunteers who are likely to be available on Sundays.  Not necessarily every week - most of the time we only need 2-3 volunteers besides Eiden and Iyrn, and we already have a few established staff members already.  If we don’t need you to help greet, seat, and serve guests, you’d be free to interact as just a customer yourself.

You do NOT have to join our Free Company to be a host.  All we ask is that you join our IC Linkshell and OOC Discord to stay in communication with us, which is something we’d hope you’d want to do anyway.  :)

If your role play partner wishes to revamp their muse or even not use them anymore, let them do it. Let your partner do whatever they want to their muse even if it means getting rid of them!

It is far too many times people stay using a muse they are personally unhappy with, due to being too scared of disappointing and upsetting others. Don’t let your rp partners feel secretly feel this way by telling them “No, please think about our ships!” or things of that nature if they wish to drastically change or even get rid of their muse. That is incredibly selfish and only focus on what you want them to do, not what they actually want to do. Sometimes, people have no more passion for their muses or want to reset them and all we can do is respect that. It should not be made into a overly personal thing, at the end of the day it is still just fiction.
