Harper (RIP little old lady) didn鈥檛 really have a clear breed. She鈥檚 the size of a typical housecat. We believe she was mostly a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, but she jumped like a Jack Russell Terrier and the way she held her paw up when focusing on something is characteristic of the Beagle. So we think she also has a little of those two breeds.
But the biggest mystery of all was on the back of her neck. She had this ridge of fur typically only seen on the Rhodesian Ridgeback, and she was far too small for us to believe that鈥檚 in her mix.

Are we on the money or do you think we may be off?
(Fun fact: During her middle-aged years, she had sculpted muscles. You can kind of see it in the fourth photo, but it was more apparent on her back and back legs when she put her paws up on the car window on the way to the park.)
What a funny little lady you had there! I would also guess Chihuahua or maybe Rat Terrier in there, but I almost wonder if she's got some Corgi in her instead of Dachshund as the source of those short little legs. Breeding a very short-coated dog to a medium/long-coated dog can sometimes lead to hair sticking up in odd places or patterns, and her face and head and neck looks a little more Corgi-ish to me instead of Dachshund. Doxies generally have narrower, longer heads with not so defined a stop, and less loose skin around their necks; then again, with a melting pot mutt mix it's never easy to tell, so I could be wrong. Maybe she did have like 1.4% Rhodesian Ridgeback in her, who knows--it's certainly possible for the smaller breeds in the mix to mask that sort of size. Ultimately, guessing breeds in mixes is always going to be an inexact science.
Regardless, she seems to have been a wonderful little lady, and gets an unofficial official AKC Certification of Good Girl from me 馃憤 I'm glad you had such a wonderful pup light up your life for the time she was with you. May her memory continue to bring you joy. 鉂わ笍

Tan point is not an accepted coat color for a purebred Standard Poodle, at least according to the AKC: "The coat is an even and solid color at the skin..." (This is sourced from the Breed Standard PDF linked on the official AKC website.)
This dog's build and shape are far too bulky to be a Standard Poodle, even discounting the coloration. Purebred Poodles are fine-boned, with narrow bodies, thin legs, and narrow faces. Even looking past the fluff, this dog is wide-chested and wide-faced, with the characteristic "moustache" of a Doodle as opposed to the tight facial curls of a purebred Poodle. The hair on the tail, as well, is too loose and flowy, another trademark of a Doodle.
I'm willing to cede that it's possible this dog is not specifically a Poodle/Rottie mix; black and tan points are a very common and dominant coat coloration that can come from many places, not just Rotties. But this is decidedly not a purebred Standard Poodle, or if it is, it's a very poorly bred one.
