unsung benefit i think a lot of ppl are sleeping on with using the public library is that i think its a great replacement for the dopamine hit some ppl get from online shopping. it kind of fills that niche of reserving something that you then get to anticipate the arrival of and enjoy when it arrives, but without like, the waste and the money.

Barring medical necessity, there is no reason to bring your dog to a restaurant, there is no reason to bring your dog to the grocery store, there is no reason to bring your dog to the nail salon. idont have a poetic way of describing the appeal of demonkicks theyre just so . listening to foo fighters or blink-182 or some other weird emo shit while sharing earbuds racing each other around the city at 100mph but ashe keeps losing cause hes scared of going too fast and getting liquified on the pavement so dakota grabs him by the arm and they go to the skatepark and he tries to teach her how to kick flip but she keeps falling and he keeps helping her back up . and dakota is behind on a bunch of math assignments so he politely asks ashe to ‘teach’ him math except hes not actually paying attention to anything she explains so ashe just writes in enough correct answers to let him pass without getting caught cheating and they have ‘sleepovers’ without getting mark’s permission first where ashe has to drag the dog inside and cast his little mystery silencing spell on his bedroom so mark doesnt hear them laughing and he keeps shushing dakota and going wait shut up i swear just heard him walking around . dude please shut the fuck up you’re gonna get us in trouble. and then when its clear marks asleep they go back to trying to pierce dakotas ears with a sewing needle because he insisted it would work and he wants them to have matching piercings and it takes forever and looks terrible in the end because ashes hands are shaking and dakota keeps fidgeting like crazy and ashe is weirdly close to his face the whole time and they end up just having to make the angel heal it so they can try again later and eventually he passes out and snores like a fucking foghorn the whole night . but its ok cause her headphones are noise cancelling . its all okay. she looks up ‘am i gay’ quizzes on her phone all night. tomorrow he will ‘accidentally’ steal her hoodie and ‘forget’ his skateboard at her house so he can come back later and keep making them listen to the entirety of harlem’s soundcloud . such is life
